    I agree…. this is supposed to be about YMBL Silsbee vs. WB and we should be talking about that match-up and the next. Create another thread if all you want to do is bash but don’t jump into a tournament thread and put a team down when your team is not even participating in it.

    Definitely going to watch this game Friday

    Newton always has talent, tradition and they got the win last year against Silsbee so they are probably favored to win

    But Silsbee has a good defense and has proven that they can make some explosive plays on offense 
    A offense which was questionable and had a lot of people picking this Tiger team to be at least 2-1 so far and 3rd in district

    Seems that the Tigers have turned some heads with the sophomore quarterback really stepping up, a batch of seasoned receivers that have speed, a talented running back and a healthy offensive line this Tiger team may have a shot at the #1 spot in district

    Should be a great game and test for Silsbee

    These teams had a chance to play each other in the Bulldog Classic but Silsbee advanced to play in the championship game against the #1 4A team in state and lost by 2 points

    Nederland did not advance

    Silsbee would win if they played each other
    Silsbee is just too fast and deep for most teams in SETX
    Silsbee has the better record and the most votes in the setxsports poll which has them @ #1 in which I think they rightfully deserve

    [size=12pt][b]HJ could have easily won either game[/b][/size].  Silsbee is certainly the better, deeper team, but HJ absolutely has the talent to beat this team.  HJ held a lead at the end of 3 in the first game, and a lead with 1 minute left in the 3rd in the 2nd game.  Silsbee's depth helped them pull away at the end of both games, but i'd challenge you to find anyone who saw either of these games who thinks there's NO way that HJ could beat Silsbee.

    If HJ will beat Silsbee than it won’t be an easy task like you stated

    Can’t say that HJ could or will beat Silsbee because it has not happened this year

    Silsbee won’t have their 2 best players next year but they will have 6-7 ball players on the roster which means they will have chances to rotate players in and out just like this year

    HJ will have 2 very good players and 2-3 ball players which means there starting 5 will be solid again but the weakness will be their bench which won’t be able to give much support

    Don’t get me wrong I still think HJ will have a better chance of winning next year than this year
    But I just don’t think the Tigers will be as down as some people see them being

    sounds like Silsbee was getting easy layups, and that HJ was getting fouled when they went up for them.  I'm just listening as well, but that's what it sounded like, and Mike hasn't been griping about the fouls that were called.
