Maybe if they combine they might be able to put up 7 pts. Heres my prediction. CROS put 3 up on DAY............BH put up 0..............niether one can play D against a real team................. CROS by 3
*shakes head* uh huh... 1BH player + 1 Crosby player = 1 Dayton Bronco... So in conclusion it takes 2 of their players to make 1 of our players  :-*
Wow!  Impressive math.....must be that academically acceptable education you got at Dayton ISD!
HEY impressive huh! did you look that up all by yourself? stay on topic. If I weren't  obligated to go to the Dayton game this Friday.. I would come watch for myself and see who lets out the loudest squeak... I wanna say BH buuuuut them kitties are pretty upset bout now.... BH better be ready to play.
No, I didn't have to look it up.  I have an EXEMPLARY vocabulary thanks to the education I received in the exemplary school district where I reside.  I, like several other BH posters, am trying to figure out why Dayton has ONCE AGAIN hijacked a BH thread.  Go drink some purple kool aid and post on a thread where someone gives a crap what you think! BH will have to play well to beat Crosby on their home field, but I think they are up to the challenge.  BH - 26  Crosby - 14

To me this looks bad on Dayton not BH or Crosby. You control when the Anthem begins, so give the team time to get on the field! Very classy move by Dayton. 1st time looks like a mistake, but doing this to two teams? The band director needs someone to bend a flute around his head  8)
At the Barbers Hill game we had not only the national anthem to do but also our comments and tribute to the young man from WOS who had passed away the previous weekend. When it got to 6:58 I got the call from down on the field to get started. At the time, the game officials were standing on our sidelines next to coaches who had headsets on and the word to get started came from the adjoining room which is where our other coaches were. I assume the word came from the officials. Therefore, the next time it happened, when it became 6:59 I had everyone stand and played the national anthem. The gametime is posted as 7 p.m. and that DOES NOT mean you wait until then to come out of the dressing room. As it was, I think we kicked off at 7:03. For BH, it was almost 7:05. I guess you'd expect an airliner to wait for a passenger because he didn't feel like coming out of the coffee shop until he was ready and the heck with everybody else. That, to me at least, is a pretty self-centered attititude.        Dayton comes out about 7:50-7:53 and warms up in the end zone. These two teams had no opportunity to warm up right before the game. Maybe . . . Now, pick up your excuses and go buy your coaches wristwatches. Oh, they already have them. My bad.
How dare you assume that our coaches intentionally missed the tribute to the WOS player who passed away.  Ronnie Gage himself lost a child to cancer last year and I don't believe he would do anything to take away from honoring this young man.  Who knows why they were late.....I choose not to make assumptions and think the best of people.  You jack wagons from Dayton are a disgrace!
jack wagons? ROFL don't be haten *passes purple kool aid* here drink some make you feel better. Does BH squeeze by Crosby Friday and send them home blue? Or does Crosby squeeze by BH and make them see red? Hey you know what red and blue make? PURPLE!
Pathetic.....and purple kool-aid has always made me sick!

 5. Great win for the Eagles!  Glad to see the Seniors get a big win in their last regular season home game.  Defense continues to be impressive.  Coach Gage and his staff deserve a lot of credit for preparing our boys.
 6.
I had a bowl of alphabet soup last night, watched some tv and went to sleep.  I woke up early in the morning with a terrible pain in my stomach.  I ran to the restroom, sat down and got down to some serious business.  I finished doing work and I just couldn't resist taking a peak at the bowl winder I knew I just created.  At first, I thought I was seeing things, so I blinked my eyes a few times and sure enough a message from on high that read.....THE HILL IS FOR REAL. last post on this one from yours truly, Tyrone J Biggums
And with your graphic post, you have confirmed what we have known for some time.  The Hill is For Real and Dayton is a "Dump"! Yours Truly, True Blue

 9.
Actually.... Purples pupils will probably end up teaching the Eagles, just like the other many teachers in BHISD with Dayton diplomas.
Really???  I bet there are less than 10 teachers in Barbers Hill who graduated from Dayton.
At the very least, my education makes me smart enough to spell douchebag, i believe the proper spelling would be TrueBlue.  We all know the Hill is for Real, but I think you're going to extremes. 12. Regardless of the outcome of the game, I would NEVER want to claim that I went to school in Dayton.  I can promise you that an education from Barbers Hill is far more valuable that anything you have to offer in Dayton.
 13. I don't think he retired, just resigned.  I think it is a mistake by the sports writers at the Baytown Sun......should we be surprised?
 14. Thanks for update Hill Guy.  Excited to hear about Coach Kyle coming to BH.  She has an impressive resume.
 15. Yep 4x4....Coach Byrd was at 1st base.  He is a retire/rehire, but that doesn't mean is guaranteed a job from year to year.  As for Coach Chancellor, apparently Coach Gage felt like a change was in order for reasons we probably will never know.  I respect Coach Gage and like what I see.  If you have never been an Athletic Director or, better yet, won a state championship as a Head Coach AND Athletic Director, you might want to reserve judgment.  The man has a pretty impressive record and is VERY well respected throughout the state and not just as a football coach.  If you don't know all of the details, why don't you keep your armchair commentary to yourself and see how things play out next year?
 16.
LOL ok whatever you say. I dont have to read Rogers to see that since the new AD/Football Coach came that their the baseball coach left, the track coach left, and the girls basketball coach is no longer coaching. Not to mention Byrd being tossed to the side.  Sounds like to me the girls basketball deal, they set parameters for someone they have in mind while purposely excluding the current coach by putting in the 8 years experience requirement. But I am sure you are right, they all choose to leave on their own haha.   Hey I dont care for Dave Rogers anymore than the next guy, but IF there is one thing its good at, it is digging behind the scenes.
I will repeat myself just to make sure you have accurate information.  The baseball coach was offered a contract and CHOSE to retire.  In fact, Coach Gage was very supportive of Stalbaum and attended every baseball game.  The track coach is NOT leaving.  He was also offered a contract and from what I hear will be back next year.  The girls basketball coach was ALSO offered a contract, was just removed as head girl basketball coach.  Tossing Byrd aside?  Last I checked, he retired several years ago.  You and Dave Rogers can dig all you want.......I think he is pretty dirty so you might want to be careful!
 17.
Whats up with the New Coach/AD running off all of the other coaches in other sports? Is he surrounding himself with yes men? Running off chancellor as the girls BB coach seems a little odd.  I dont have a dog in the fight out there but reading all of these articles in the Baytown Sun has me scratching my head. Seems like Dave Rogers of the Sun too is trying to dig into it as well.
First of all....the fact that you are reading the Baytown Sun as your sole source of information isn't real bright.  Dave Rogers is an idiot......can't even get the facts right.  He is much more concerned about writing an article that is slanted to sell newspapers than in printing facts.  Exactly who are you referencing when you say the new AD is running off all of the other coaches?  Gil Stalbaum CHOSE to retire.  Dwayne Nunez was NOT fired as Head Track Coach (as the Baytown  Sun incorrectly reported), and John Chancellor has apparently been reassigned.  DAVE ROGERS HAS NOTHING TO DIG UP BECAUSE THERE ISN'T ANY "HIDDEN" STORY!
 18. whattheheck.....all I can say is "What the Heck" are you doing commenting about BH basketball when you weren't at the playoff game?  Chancellor WAS outcoached....I was there.......and that isn't the only loss where he was outcoached AND unprepared.  How many BH girls basketball games did you see over the past five years?  How many of your kids played for the man?  I doubt very few if any......you just want to come on this post and put in your two cents.  Well two cents doesn't get you much in my book, certainly not any more of my time!
 19. Well, GCM Pats, why don't you call the district and ask them who the Varsity Boys Track Coach will be next year.  The answer (because I did call today) is Dwayne Nunez.  So, Dave Rogers and The Baytown Sun DIDN'T get it right!  Hope that crow tastes good.
 20. Those people who aren't from this area can speculate all they want about why Chancellor was reassigned.  I have a kid in the program and I can tell you that there were definitely reasons why a change was initiated by the district.  He may be a nice guy, but he was outcoached on more than one occassion throughout his years at BH.  I like everything I have seen in Ronnie Gage and I trust him to find the right person for the job! On another note, Dave Rogers at the Baytown Sun is an incompetent idiot.  In his article about Chancellor being out as Head Coach he can't even get the facts straight.  Barbers Hill did NOT nonrenew Dwayne Nunez.  In fact, I have heard he will be the Head Boys Track Coach, he just won't be coaching football.  Rogers puts a spin on EVERYTHING at BH instead of reporting fair and unbiased facts.  I will NEVER purchase another Baytown Sun and hopefully the district will insist on a published correction.  I hope the new editor at the Baytown Sun will fire this clown and look for a real sports reporter!
 21. So, what name have you heard?  Someone local?
 22.
You would think they would clarify that before too many people see the post. After so many years in the classroom and working hard to get masters's, certification or whatever you have to have to become a coordinator, most at a 4A school would look for a break from the classroom to focus on their true responsibilities, COORDINATING.  I bet the reading specialists, diagnosticians and counselors don't teach too.  Not even in BC do we make them do that.  okay...just my 4 cents on the topic now.
Barbers Hill has never had a Girls Coordinator so they are probably going to have to spend a year identifying all of the responsibilities and roles of this position.  Perhaps this person won't have to teach at all but they wanted to let the applicants know there was a possibility of teaching.
 23. It said additional teaching field to be determined.....that leaves room for interpretation.  The posting doesn't tie them to a teaching field or certification!
 24. BH85......why "Ouch"?  Are you another one with an axe to grind?
