2.

Justin Allbittton
Thought he was a senior?
just seems that way.... I think he was 2A All-State as a freshman!
 3.
WOS is good, but Dallas Madison ain't too shabby either.  Just at their district meet:  4 x 100 = 41.93; 800 runner 1:59; 110 Hurdler 14.25; 100 = 10.86 and 10.97; 4 x 200 = 1:27.82; 300 hurdler = 38.25; 400 runner = 49.89; 4 x 400 = 3:16.64 :o .  I know all these performances won't make it to state or win it, but they are definitely strong. I know with WOS hurdler and other individual runners it is going to be fun to watch.  Who knows WOS might win by 30 points.
impressive.
 4.
Man it is like this is CNN - nothing is official until it appears on SETXSPORTS - lol come on people - for you guys to already be speculating about a replacement when nothing has happened is a crying shame.  Leave the man to his decisions and stop this.  We all know kids and parents read this stuff and it is not fair to them either.  Let things be known or not known on the time frame of the person involved.
Come on coach! You know that ain't gonna happen!  :D
 5. HOLY COW the cryogenics worked! ;D
 6. wow.... That's a tough job by all accounts. He obviously can coach. Hope it goes well.
 7.
I agree. Missing a regular meet or a non district game for a select sport is okay by me. But district, regional, state meets or any playoff game should not be missed for any select sport. If high school sports are considered just a "past time" and not an "important time", then don't "waste the time". ;)
that's where the line is for me.... missing one of those meets for a tourney that's not state, nationals, etc just doesn't make sense. Those are the meets that matter! To help the team all year and then not when it really counts just seems pointless.

I just posted what i heard earlier today.....
From the looks of their message board, Coognation is staying quiet until the formal announcement is made.
yeah I asked a few alums last night.....they know something but not sharing  :-X
some of the prominent alums were in some way involved in the process of interviewing, etc. as far as i can tell. I suppose that's the reason for their being tight lipped.

 10. they'll end up winning 78-80 in my opinion.... another hard year to be a stros fan. those playoff years seem far away. We got spoiled there for a minute.
 11.
thanks for keeping us posted ozen fastest 1906. i know coach strange is coaching up those kids and doing a great job. the district race should be interesting because both them and nederland had a total of 89 points. where will it be held cause if it is close and at a decent staduim i am in that thang
PNG
 12.
Ozens 4x400 looked good in Dayton the other night, they ran by themselves for the last 2 legs..
indeed!
Impressed me too. I noticed that's about 4 inches below dylan's best.... what is smith's best?
6' 9"
saw him jump at dayton this past weekend. Kid can hop. District will be a battle for him and Richard. I think they can take 1st and 2nd at regionals as well. I hope they do and get to represent this area at state.
 14.
do u know what all teams will be @ Dayton 2moro ... heard most of the district will b there, but have not seen anything on it ...
haven't seen a full list. I think you are right though. 13-15 boys teams and about the same on the girls side. Should be lots of good competition.
 15. Lucio Rosas of GP is the favorite in 800, 1600, and 3200 ..... I think he'll run the 3200 and 1600 at dist. as those are his best chance to do something at regionals. Team favorites?  BH for the boys and the girls should be a pretty good pick. Distance, hurdles, and throws are pretty strong across the board for them. Lots of prepared and extremely tough kids competing for the Eagles.
 16.
He is very excited...and we are proud of his accomplishments. ;D
great stuff. proud for your family!

 19. Congrats to Aaron Ripkowski - Dayton ... state champ in the 242s Congrats also to Allen Harris of Bmt. Central for getting 4th in the same class.
 20.
Just noticed this....first off...Congrats. Obviously 5'-6" is good....where does 5'-3" place amoung the top jumpers....understanding this is an event of inches and 3" could mean the difference of 20 or more places....just curious.
For her to jump that in Jan indoor is very good. Dyestat, one of the more recognized track and field sources in the country,  who was actually on hand covering the meet at which Brannon jumped this height, recognizes 5'1" as a national elite indoor and 5'3" outdoor. The best girls in the state/nation are around 5'8-5'11 right now. Hope this sheds some light. link: [Hidden Content]

 22.
Nederlands DEFENSE other wise known as DIDBA will be fun to watch, I saw the 3 stating linemen dominate the combine in Beaumont and a DB win best DB at combine. They were Corbin Carr jr,Koby Curon soph, Brock Pryor soph, and Zach Taylor soph Best Db. Add the likes of all district Jordan Wood soph with Corbin Stamply soph, Tre Broussard jr, Luke Delord jr ,K Hop jr,. That is a pretty good returning group. Fill in 2 spots with a couple outstanding prospects. Wow! If rumors are true and we see a revamped offense , ball control will be awesome to watch. Go Dogs!!  Oh yea Smitty same DC will lead this team to an outstanding Defensive Yr.
I thought that D was pretty good last year in our scrimmage... If next year's offense can move the chains, that should help them a lot.
 23.
Never Heard of anyone Named Dunn! Tobias+ Rhinewald= Stone Cold Killas
seriously? [Hidden Content]
