  1. Congratulations to all selected and especially to retiring Coach Sandra Jones and three special young ladies from the Ozen Panthers girl's track team. Dominique Brannon to OU and the Big 12.  Dominique has the potential to excel in the indoor multis.  Oklahoma has an excellent multi event program, also outdoor in HJ, and 400m hurdles.  Dominique can score pts. as a freshman.  "Boomer Sooner!!!"  Bealoved Brown to LSU and the SEC.  Bealoved will be an immediate impact to LSU.  Once she focuses on one sport she will Geaux, Geaux, Geaux!!!! Nekia Jones to the 40 Acres and the Big 12.  The Longhorns and their fans are going to love her  infectious smile and attitude on and off the court and on the track.  The two sport star will "Hook Em!!!." These three young ladies have practically solely carried the Ozen girl's track program and legacy on their backs for the past three years.  In doing so they have won 1 4A Team State Track title 2011, 1 4A Area Co-Championship 2013, 1 Regional III 4A Championship 2012, and 4 District 20 4A Championships 2010-2013. Good luck young ladies and now the hard work begins.  Continue to work hard in the classroom and in your sport.
  2. Beaumont Ozen Senior High Jumper and Hurdler Dominique Brannon has signed a track & field scholarship with the University of Oklahoma.  Dominique will have a chance to compete against her sister A'Lexus Brannon who currently is a member of the Univ. Of Texas women's track team in the Big 12.
  3. Ozen WINS!!!  On way to Championship beat North Forest, Humble, West Brook, Lumberton,  and LCM.  Bolin, Brannon, and Ricord All-Tournament Team.
  4. Ozen Junior Dominique Brannon has been invited to and accepted an invitation to perform at the 2nd annual SoHigh High Jump competition to be held in San Marcos, Texas, Saturday May 19th.  The competition is solely for high jumpers and will be held at the SoHigh training facility in San Marcos.  1996 Olympic High Jump Gold Medalist and current USA High Jump record holder Charles Austin is the owner and operator of SoHigh Training facilities. The athletes will be jumping to their favorite song choice.
  5. Ozen girl's track squad that won regionals consists of 6 athletes and they were very impressive at regionals.  Congrats to Dominique Brannon(state qualifier HJ, TJ, 4x200m relay), Asia Booker(4x100m relay, 4x200m relay), Bealoved Brown(100m, 200m, 4x100m relay), Jameeka Fontenot(4x100m relay, 4x200m relay), Robyn Hancock(4x100m relay, 4x200m relay), Nekia Jones(shot put, discus)
  6. Dominique Brannon runs on Ozen girl's 4x200 that posted a 1:41:22 at Texas Relays not Bealoved Brown.  The running order is Asia Booker, Jameeka Fontenot, Dominique Brannon, and Robyn Hancock.
  7. A'Lexus Brannon  Beaumont Ozen #7 All-Time Girl's triple Jump 2010, 42ft. 3inches.
  8. Unless you have been there to see what the Lady Panthers go through in volleyball, basketball, and track then you cannot have an opinion based on anything but what you have heard.  Once again my opinion is based on what I have seen and experienced with my own eyes.  Yes they do have one of the best basketball  programs and the best 4A girls track program in the state at this time but their success is partly due to the adversity that they endure and have to overcome throughout their seasons.  Adversity makes you strong ...Stay Strong Lady Panthers!!!!  Rizon there are officials everywhere in track and they watch everything come to the meets and watch it is very exciting.  Death Valley I believe you when you say that you have never EVER heard an official mutter those words, "We are gonna stick it to Ozen", but ACTION speaks louder than words!!!  That's all Baller has to say on this matter.  Good luck to all the young ladies throughout the area.
  9. Just my opinion based on watching Ozen girls volleyball, basketball, and track.  You just don't know what these young ladies go through away and at home and still have the heart to prevail and succeed!!!
  10. Just my opinion and I don't know the coach personally to make excuses for her but I do know that I am happy to see someone stand up for our girls when they are just trying to play to the best of their abilities against their opponents not including the referees!!!  I also believe having students as line judges is unfair to the students who have to make crucial calls at crucial times!!!  It's just my opinion based on what I have seen with my own eyes.
  11. Ozens coach is new to this area and the history that goes along with it, but she is not blind and she seems to know the sport very well; that seems to be why she is so animated on the sidelines.  The refs seem to always be  biased against Ozen and the talent that Ozen has had in the past has been able to overcome the officiating.  This is not the case with Ozen volleyball this season so therefore she may be somewhat frustrated with the overall condition of high school volleyball in Southeast Texas but someone needed to step in Friday and let the officials know that we see you and we see the nonsense that is coming from many an official that calls Ozen games at home or away!!!!!
  12. Congrats Bealoved and continued success.  Ozen girls track program has now been represented twice on the USA National Track Team A'Lexus Brannon "09, Bressanone, Italy"  and now Bealoved Brown "11, Lille, France".  In the past 5 years Ozen has 10 individual State Gold medals, 2 Regional Team Titles, and the 2011 4A GIRLS STATE TEAM TITLE!!!  There is something special happening at Ozen keep up the hard work and Good Luck Lady Panthers!
  13. I don't see how you can hold the District 20-4A meet at Port Neches 7 lanes means somebody in the finals will not be allowed to run. A District meet cannot be held with timed finals that is not fair to the athletes!
