1. Bhfan doesnt have a clue. If he was at the game he would have seen how huge the talent difference was. Now those freshman are soohmores and its going to be ugly for 19 4a. I thinj daytin freshman outscored their district opponents by over 300 pts
2. Chambers was a receiver last year. Trust me he will put up much bigger numbers rushing and passing than denny. Heck ah had twice as many total yards than denny last year.
3.
Last year he threw 12 passes for 6 completions for 42 yards and 2 INT's. I'm getting more worried by the minute now ;D
bh qb threw for about 80 yds a game and ran for about 50 yds a game and was district mvp. Bet chambers doubles those numbers this year.
4. Chambers will be the most athletic qb dayton fielded since payton ploche. He is big and fast. He will be hard for anybody to contain not to mention dayton has almost entire team returning. 14 starters for dayton returning.
5. The reason bh had a good year was alot of senior talent. Reutor mcswain sexton duke newcomb brandon mathews and alot I cant remember. This will be a tough year for bh.
6. What was that freshman score. I know it was.36-0 at halftime when I left. I know bh jv won 8-0. Also dayton doesnt hide talent on jv. If your a sophmore and can get after it they put you on varsity. Daytons jv always has several losses. A majority of those freshman that killed everyone last year will not see jv ball.
7.
Tell me when it's done, so that I may go drop a deuce on the 50 ;)
so if I see someone squated on the 50 I will know who it is. At least bag it and take it with you when your done please.
8.

Well come to thank of it didnt dayton beat gcm and keep bh from having to play a tie breaker with gcm for district. Theres my baseball reference.
Are you an Aggie or just think like one  ;) ;) I was referring to more than just last year..but either way.
oh well the year before that gcm won district if im not mistaken. No doubt last year was a great year for bh. It all started with bh beating dayton in front of the biggest crowd at a high school sporting event in chambers county history. The seniors on last years bh football team had not beat dayton from the 7th grade up to last year and played the game of their lives. Having said that dont look for it to happen again for a while.
9. Well come to thank of it didnt dayton beat gcm and keep bh from having to play a tie breaker with gcm for district. Theres my baseball reference.
10. Bh should thank dayton for beating crosby the week before they played them. Otherwise crosby would have been district champs. Also im not conceading girls basketbsll I would say dayton is right on track in that sport. I look for dayton to win district in football and girls basketball this year. I look for bh and kp to battle it out for a playoff spot in football and to have some epic tennis and golf matchups.
11. I just hope dayton can get through predistrict with no injuries. Dayton always schedules very physical team like livingston and elkins. Last year we lost one of our best line backers for the year against angleton.
12. Bh did have a good year. I will say though that the sports that bh has dominated like tennis golf will be alot tougher in our new district.
13. I would have to say barbers hill. Last year they beat dayton and almost won a playoff game at home.
14.

I dont know if you noticed but vype somehow left out the fact that sc is not a grind it out offense. Also last year it was bh big plays that beat dayton. Tyler newcomb was unstopable that game.
And us trying for a 54 yrd fieldgoal instead of pinning BH deep in their territory with less than 2 minutes to play.
i didnt like the play selection that lead to the long fg attempt either but got killed on this site for saying so.
15. Livingston always tough and seems to give dayton heck every time we play. Yall usually have a huge line dont know were yall get them.
16. I dont know if you noticed but vype somehow left out the fact that sc is not a grind it out offense. Also last year it was bh big plays that beat dayton. Tyler newcomb was unstopable that game.
17. I remember being a kid watching craig james be a one wrecking ball at stratford.
18. Me and my dad catch every high school gam :-*e we can even when its not the broncos. I eveb sat on brenham side I think it was 05. Brenham vs lm that was a crazy game I thiught the cubs were dead it was a great come back win. One more thing brenham fan olease dont ever pick crosby as one of our possible losses thats just mean.
19. Dayton usually has a really good defense and that is what dayton is known for. Last year we had a very young defense and it showed. As far as living on the big play the fact is last year dayton was playing without the best running back in the area and it caused dayton to throw more than they would like. All that said dayton usually scores quick because they can.
20.
I see Dayton going 8-2 in the regular season. (Maybe 7-3)
maybe 7-3 doubt it. What excactly do you know about dayton that would give you that prediction.
21. You probably didnt notice that the kid that was killing brenham and had ran for 2 tds and thrown for the other was hurt at the end of the first half. He was mainly used for a decoy the second half. Our little siphmore qb was stuck playing the entire 2nd half. The brenham defense had alot less to do with dayton not scoring it was payton ploche being hurt that killed dayton. Also dayton had a 10 pt lead at halftime and still had a 10 pt lead with about 7 minutes left. Daytin was also loaded with d1 talent that year. We had 5 kids off that team go d1 and d1aa
22. I give up one of brenham posters ask why aj went to houston if he had other offers. All I know is he was by far the best player on the field when we killed brenham in 08. Know on to 09 when brenham pulled one out against dsyton again I saw no athletic advantage for brenham. Also he made comment of the kid who walked on at ou. Im not going to esay anything other than had that kid been on brenham he would have got alot of hype with his size and strenght snd would not have to be a walkon.
23.
If you think that Scrimmages should be counted as wins/losses, then why not keep score and count it on the records for ever after school practice and every 2 a day practice?  Do you get where I'm going with this?  It's a PRACTICE, with the only difference is between 2 teams.  Nondistrict games are actuall games played with real officials with real game rules.
i ask again then why keep score. Dayton does have officials for its scrimmages and play with a running game clock and olay real game conditions except kick off and punt return. I promise you when dayton and nederland scrimmage neither coach will want to have fewer points on the board at the end. I used to love coaching tee ball they didnt keeo scire because they said the kids were to young but every parent would know the score.

R. Mitchell is gonna have a field day with that secondary. even the coaches cant mess that up, even in a scrimmage.
Nobody "wins" scrimmages.  ::)
Tell that to Longview and West Brook.  ;)
I'll tell that to any and every team in the state of Texas! Until I see "w's and l's" in the win-loss column for those scrimmages and they be included in a teams overall record for the season and the UIL starts keeping that as a certified record, then they are just "glorified" practices and have no bearing on a win or loss.
then why keep score. Also since high school has playoffs I feel the same way about non district games.
25. Well he was all state his junior year and broke the texas high school fg record at the time. Now he is a senior dont know why dc thinks he wont be even better. Dayton kids never get much publicity. Dayton has a kid playing at ou right now who had to walk on. He was 6"2 240 and was the strongest kid in the state and never got much attention. Thats ok though because stoops knows he got a good one.
