9-0 KP @ half Both teams are shooting themselves in the foot, especially New Caney.  They called 2 TO's in the last 15 secs when they were at their own 30.  After the 2nd one, the QB and HB were confused about the play and fumbled.  KP recovered at the 28, but a hold on the next play pushed them out of fg range. Teams still look pretty even.  KP looks slightly better if I had to pick.

8 yd TD run by Kingwood Park 7-0 KP 4:35 in the 2nd. KP has an elusive little HB, by he's very careless with the ball.

Scoreless after 1. Offenses look totally different, but about equal. Good sportsmanship by both teams.

[/quote] I'm not sure were thinking of the same game, cuz Brenham won the game I saw against Stratford.  Last time I checked, it wasn't how you started a game, but rather how you finished.  It's about 4 quarters, not 2.  As far as polite goes, your opinion doesn't really matter to me.  Yes, 24-4A is strong from top to bottom, but how strong?  Guess we'll find out soon...

[/quote] Stratford played awesome...  They kind of reminded me of Montgomery a little.  We were really sloppy in the first half. (only completed 2 passes) The 3rd quarter was about even, but we got it together as usual in the 4th.  Defense made big plays, and our o-line just took over.  That's a sign of a good team. When you are not playing as good as your team should, and you can still regroup in the 4th and come out on top for the win.  Our boys never gave up and were proud of them.  Don't discount Stratford though.  They are a very good team.  They finished the season 6-4 (5-2). (Loses to 5A Memorial, Friendswood, Montgomery & Brenham) In other words, nothing they should be ashamed of...

[/quote] I'm sure we'll use it as a wake up call, and we'll be ready. (like Waller last year)  That was our 3rd game in 13 days, but now we'll have an extra day to rest and correct our mistakes.  The thing about good teams, is even if they arnt playing their best, when they are backed into a corner they can still find a way to come out on top and win.  To me, that says alot.  I'm proud of them for once again fighting their way back to another come from behind win.
