So, who cares because it has absolutely no relevance. All of the Real Football for 20-4A is being played at Da' Butch. So, quit hijacking the board until y'all man up and show up! Raidergirl has more swag! BTW, there were plenty of Vs going up on nederville road and all the way down until it turns into purple irrelevance.... :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
If it was a big time rivalry for Lumberton RaiderGirl would have shown up, and last time i even convo'ed with her she lived in Bullard, thats near Tyler.  ;)
I moved back to Lumberton back in July :)
You go RaiderGirl. We'll make you an honorary Pirate this year if you like. I travelled with ya'll when you made your playoff runs before ours.
RaiderGirl has too many teeth to be an honorary pirate. 7.
I counted from1969 to 1983..15 wins...we tied in 1968 35-35...PN-G shut Nederland out 6-0 in 1967...barely won in 1966 16-15...in 1965 score was 0-0..lol we shut each other out.  But I only did the 15 wins in a row.
Yes, but in Nederland we count not winning for 19 years and finally breaking the streak in the 20th year. If I tie in anything, I feel like I lost.

 10.
Center is a pretty good team that is just showing up on some radars.  They have a decent defense, giving up 18 pts a game along with a pretty explosive offensive which is currently scoring a little under 37 pts a game. They look primarily to run (averaging about 238 yds on the ground) but can throw it too (avg. 131 yd a game passing).  Their big gun is K.J. Garrett, who already has over 1100 yd rushing this season.
What is the name of the coach that came from WOS?
 11.
I look forward to the Jasper Center game along with this weekend seeing how Center holds up against Carthage.
I know ome long time residents of Center and they understand that Carthage is top motch and looking forward to playing them to see how good they really are.

I expect both games to be competitive, but I'm confident the freshman team will pull out the win (knock on wood). On JV, I think it could go either way.
PNG freshman has never defeated Nederland Freshman in football or any other sport. I hope that tradition continues  ;D. PNG freshman has a great QB and some goods kids, looking forward to a high scoring "fun" game.
You mean this particular freshman class? That's not entirely true. Both the PNMS and GMS 8th grade A teams beat the Central team badly (by 40 points in the Warriors' case) and both barely lost to CO Wilson.
Ok, I stand corrected, I was not thinking of Central. I disagree with barely losing to CO. Both games IMO, were never realy in questions. I do think PN and G merger helped better than Central and CO merger. It will fun to watch Thursday
CO beat Groves 40 something to 12 or 18, dont remeber the PN score but it was by 2 or 3 td's As I understand it, both teams lost by less than a touchdown. Maybe the game wasn't as close as the score indicates, but I guess we'll find out Thursday.
They haven't had a shut-out against PN-G since 1988.
Nope, try again... another hint, the 84 season the streak was broken
Well, don't leave us hanging.
I was waiting for the PNG faithful to answer. 1984 season the dogs snapped a 20 year losing streak (not 15, I hate to add 5 years). He might have been thinking a shorter streak because there was a game a few years before that the refs called winning TD catch and the ball skipped about 5 yards and the dogs lost on that call. I think you were there 04

 15.
So Center is 7-0 with a 1-0 district record after beating Diboll. I already have a feel of how Carthage looks so can I get some opinions on Center? Dave Campbell has them ranked 19th.
I know the head coach came from WOS and has a lot of the kids excited about playing football and buidling a program.

 19.
I have a strategy question about Faircloth.  He has always had the philosophy that no one will play both ways.  This may work at a big school with tons of players, but shouldn't you try to get your best athletes on the field?  I know Nederland has at least 4 guys that play both ways and some others that rotate in.  Vidor does the same.  I was told that PN-G currently only has 15 guys that play defense.  That is no where near enough bodies and depth IMO and is a big reason they give up so many points. Any thoughts on this?  Is Faircloth just being hardheaded and not adapting?  I personally would try to have my best athletes on the field at all times, but what do I know.
Talking about adapting, what about running the spread when you dont have the kids to the run the spread. Or, running QB sneaks on 4th in 1 in the spread... I think he is set in his ways. Nederland has adjuted and now has a blend, which I think helps our team overall.
 20.

So let me get this straight. Faircloth interviewed for one school in the town where his wife's family lives that's only about a hundred miles from his hometown (where his family still lives), and all of the sudden he must be looking to get away from PN-G at all costs because there's no possible way he could win in the coming years with the supposed lack of talent (keyword being supposed) on a JV team that's 5-1 and a Freshman Purple team that's 6-0. Or, in other words, Faircloth has no commitment to PN-G because there's supposedly little talent rising through the ranks, despite the fact that he's spent four years here building a program from top to bottom (by that, I don't just mean high school) that is already bearing fruit at the lower levels. Right. ::) Faircloth is going to be at PN-G for the foreseeable future. He's done a fine job so far, the community wants him there and he's working in some of the finest facilities in the state in front of the largest high school fanbase in the state, arguably the nation. The only way I see Faircloth leaving is if he can get on as HC at an already prominent program such as Lake Travis or Southlake Carrol, and that's realistically not going to happen until he has strung together some deep playoff runs.
Some good points. I don't think he is going anywhere right now either. But, it should be noted that the freshman and JV teams were very good last year too and it does not always equate to Varsity success.
Agree. It sounds like PNG faithful are setting high expectations and I understand why. Then the boss will not have any excuses.
 21.
Dogs look lethargic. Looks like just enough to not lose... I don't get it...
It is what you call a "trap" game. You come off a big win in Vidor against a quality team, you have a little hangover the following week and finish strong (Livingston) You go on te road and play a team you should beat easily, but you maybe lookng ahead toward MCM. So, your goal is to get out of there with win... no style points.
 22. I was trying to think of all the Nederland football players that went on to play college football out of the Nuemann's program. There used to be a website and it is gone now. Does anyone rmemer who they are? I know this is probably a thread of its own, but would also like to compare some of our future dogs. Here are some that comes to mind The Hueber brother - Played O Line and D line? I think 1 went to Baylor and dont remember where the other went. The Mayhew brothers - O line, I think Rice and Houston? Yoder - Slot WR, school ? Brisendine - LB, SFA Divante Johnson - DE, University of Texas
