I guess you have not seen Ned's defense play the last few games. Vidor will run up yards on anyone in our district. I will admit it is not as strong as it was just over the past few years, it is improving, it is about as good as we were last year. But clear lake, ozen, especially last week against central, they played really well.  I hope y'all take the D lightly

I have been hearing from PNG fir 3 years " wait til this group are seniors"  they will be so good they will ge able to walk on water! 

Our defense is tough, they do miss some tackles and take bad angles at time. They are gaining experience every game.  Smithy prob never played a down of football and talks like it. As for as the offense, when the game is on line Krautz needs to be in the game, well spent time out

A lot of people on here are not giving the the defense the credit they deserve last night. They created 4 turnovers, 1 of the was a score on defense the second turnovers was inside the 15 yd line which gave the offense a very short field. We stopped ozen on 4th down and short. The fake punt will go against the defense but really is special teams. When you shutdown their offense on 5 possession, that tells you tat our offense was not keeping the ball very long and getting first downs. 

Our defense is very young and can't stay out on the field on night like they. Now it is a team game, so it is not offense against defense, but when one side of the ball struggles, they other side needs to step up. I'm not sure how much more defense can improve and get better at tackling, but they will play hard and hopefully make the plays when it counts. Most of the district is built towards offense. Looks like are not much different.

You can't compare Dual threat qb's with pocket passers statistically. Whats good about the coaches voting, they all have to game plan on how to stop the other teams biggest threat. if the press or fans voted they would get it wrong, especially with all the homers out there. They don't have to game plan and watch film.

Replacing Sage Seay as a football player and a leader on the field will proove to be a huge task. That kid exuded confidence and made a lot of kids on that team better because they believed in him.

No doubt, but Krautz can make up a lot of those rushing yards.

Jv had about 10 juniors on the the team. Most of the starters were sophomores. If you gauge Nederland's varsity based on on the jv success you be misled. I think our defense will be better. Offense will depend on who they choose at Qb and what offense we run. We have 3 returning lineman, Krautz at rb, and all the recievers will have a lot of experience, Johnson, Perkins, and mayfield (unless mayfield is Qb). Have to replace sage and Barton.

Team chemistry yes but they have to figure it out on their own, even in wins they are talking against each other that's not good. They will get it together I believe in them.

Seniors need to step and be leaders. They will be fine.

I think the refs were baffled by the atmosphere of the game also

They were terrible for both sides. They called 6 on PNG and 11 on ned, it seemed like a lot more

Nederland defense goal line stand

He is 1 of our best pitchers, hopefully he can recover in time to play baseball. Jace is a great person, positive attitude, and a hard worker. Prayers for you!
