1. There's only 2 teams in 22 3A that are good, Cleveland and Coldspring. Shepherd started out well but has fizzled.  The others are pretty even and any one of those could win against the other on a given night.  Huffman has definitely disappointed it fans this year.
2. ndn78, If I could give you good karma for that post, I would do it over and over.  Thanks
3. Try NOT to win to get an "easier" road in the playoffs?  That's just talk--CS won't do it.
4. Goin' for the underdog on this one--Tarkington by 1
5.
Play Thursday...Grades become official Friday at 3:30 on 11/13.
Astute comment KDOSullivan.
6. I know Kirbyville is good, but it is hard NOT to pick Newton.
7. Ya know, I once was so impressed by the PNG's following of their team, but you guys are so rabid, BH will need rabies shots.
8. I agree that Coldspring is way too good and Liberty will lose big.  Huffman is definitely favored over Tarkington, but they could be beat if Tarkington could find their Bell-motivated play again--not likely though.
9.
It was a great game no matter whose side you were on...If you insult and demean your opponent, what have you done when you defeat them?  Always admire your opponents strength so that in victory, you have accomplished something.  Just a thought to grow on.
Logosadore, you are a true sportaman.  More of us should adopt this attitude.
10. Yes, congratulations to a team that is getting better and better as the season progresses.  Good job boys and coaches and fans.
11. Did the Indians get lucky or did they play well?  Must've been a good defensive game.  Nope, just looked at the Chronicle's stats, and Coldspring moved the ball on Cleveland.  It appears from the stats that the turnovers did CS in.  Is that so?
12. Congrats to Huffman!  I didn't expect such a low scoring game, but I bet it was a good one.
13. No way Liberty beats CS.  Tarkington only played one half, and if they'd have played as well in the first half, they'd have beaten Liberty.  ColdSprings by 40+.
14.
I think it is safe to say that mother nature is an Indian fan. If this game turns into a mudfest the Indians will be right at home with their ground attack... as the game gets closer and the forecast gets worse I really like the Tribe.
I agree.
15. Thinks it's going to be closer than that--but I agree it may be high scoring.  42-35 Huffman.  It depends on the weather too.  Shepherd has a better chance in the rain.
16. Do y'all really think 3A districts will be chosen by enrollment rather than proximity? I agree that fuel costs will cause superintendents to think about this twice--or IMO they should!
17. Bear Bryant, in truth, the parents are the bosses of the coaches because they are the taxpayers of the district that employs the coaches.  I can't think of a superintendent, especially in a smaller district, that wouldn't cave in to griping parents of a losing coach, even if the coach has no talent to work with.  That said, the yelling at coaches should NOT be done from the stands.  I'm not talking about occasional groans because any coach makes mistakes, and parents do have the right to their opinions.  They just hurt their kids when they act like idiots, and they hurt their kids' attitudes when they constantly gripe in front of the kids.  If parents want a good program, football or any other sport, they need to support the coach as much as possible, give him a chance, and then if he/she is ineffective in building a program, talk to the coach or to the powers that be because that is the parents' right as a taxpayer.
18. CheerMom said, "...children learn by what we as parents teach them.  Everything we do and say they will mimic. "  IMO, when parents gripe about coaches in front of their children, deservedly or not, the kids's attitudes sour.  When parents scream at coaches from the stands, they (the parents) just look stupid.  Of course, parents have free speech rights, but they should think about how they embarrass themselves and their kids before making a scene in the stands.  Talk to the coach on Monday, talk to your friends after the game if you must complain, but don't be stupid in the stands.
19.
56 to 0 thats being very nice if cleveland wanted to they could score as many as they want but prob wont play there starters after first half maybe sooner.
Cleveland's Coach Tullos was classy, unlike another in 22-3A.  He didn't play starters much in second half.
20. Congrats to Shepherd's players and fans, but dog-gone-it, I wish Liberty had beaten them.
21. I'm with you OldTimer...should be a good game...depends on Liberty playing to their potential.
