the 5Ad2 from TX Hs projections put Liberty Hill in region 3... talk about a region...
-
So this is the problem area in 5AD2 for the UIL. 6 HISD to keep together 2 FBISD to keep together 2 LCISD to keep together PNG/Nederland Crosby/Dayton Santa Fe/Texas City Galena Park If they don't care about numbers and go strictly geographically this is the two districts 10 Team - 10-5a H Austin H Madison H Northside H Sharpstown H Sterling H Waltrip FB Marshall FB Willow Ridge Richmond Randle Rosenberg Lamar 8 team - 9-5A Crosby Dayton Nederland PNG Galena Park Santa Fe Texas City Them splitting LCISD + FBISD would be odd given they are districts that physically connect with each other. The problem is HISD if it was 5 teams it'd be easy 9 team district.

Alright people saying this is a slightly better Texas City defense are smoking the good stuff. Texas High is very very fast on defense in the front 7. That can cause problems and did for PNG. They are not the size of A&M/BH/Manvel at the LOS that's 100% correct. We will also be a way faster team overall than they are used to but that was a clinic on how to shut down that PNG offense and they did it almost identically to Crosby's game plan versus PNG. I do think if they try to play 1 on 1 with our receiver's we will win that battle quite often. Especially on the RPO if they keep trying to send 6. I also think Cyrin will have a field day with the pressure on the designed QB run. The Counter will be key in the gameplan as well. No reason Crosby can't hang a big number in this game but that defense can be very very disruptive. Crosby will need to be sharp because we will have to make quick reads and the correct reads. The offense that Crosby runs is fully prepared for Texas High's speed but we haven't seen a team as fast on defense since we played PAM. I expect a similar gameplan and similar results offensively. Defensively I like the match up for the Cougars, no dominate Offensive linemen, nothing like we saw last week and their running back is solid but he's not as good as #23 from A&M, he was getting arm tackled all game long so just got to get some pads to him and he goes down. He's the classic really fast track kid playing running back if the hole is big and he gets open space he can make plays. Honestly this team looks like a less offensively talented PAM. The big difference OFC is PAM has to play in 5AD1.

Sounds like Fulshear should have not played on Thursday.

UIL rules are stupid.
-
which is just a smidge higher than Crosby
-
Has BH in 5AD1 and Crosby in 5AD2. STEPP has 9-5A as BH Lee Sterling Kempner GCM KWP La Porte New Caney Porter PAM Personally I think it'll be Friendswood not Kempner but we will see.

I wasn't making innuendos they must have moved their reporting period or they broke the rules its that simple. I've dealt with UIL eligibility periods for 7 years now I know how they work. 1st hand knowledge. I'm sure the website on the Texarkana website schedule is just wrong, did yall lsoe some time earlier in the year to storms or something?
-
yea but according to their own website they should have lost eligibility before the break but we will see.
-
UIL doesn't create the grading periods those are guides. districts create grading periods. Given how they did their 6 week period they could have made the above change.
-
Just looked it up any player that was eligible for the PNG game is also eligible for this game unless they played ineligible players OR their calendar on their website had it's grading periods changed. If for some reason they had moved their eligibility period (i.e. their 2nd 6 week ) back one week then they would have lost eligibility this week because you cannot lose eligibility when school is not in session. even though they should in a normal situation have lost eligibility during the Thanksgiving break had their been school that week (which their wasn't for Texas High.)

#14 He's going to eat your secondary alive. Ask BH and A&M how hard it is to guard him. #10 will control the game and make the right decision all game. He makes the big play when its needed, either throwing or running. Also the big difference this year is Crosby is much more diverse an offense. It's not is Branch or Dunn going to run the ball. It's RPO, Counters, a Big play receiver, A crafty receiver, and a solid running game lead by an exceptional quarterback. You don't have 3 picks in a season without being an elite decision maker. I took a double take when he threw one in the A&M game because it just hasn't happened this year. We won't have a player on the offense that isn't threat to take it to the house. Every receiver can make plays, every back you'll see can make plays. I think you are going to see a better offense than you did last year but not as explosive of an offense.

That's so sad, kids not taking care of business sucks. They must be a 6 week system up there.
-
We put 49 on PNG at the half. so saying you can score 50 on PNG means literally nothing to Crosby.

Port Neches-Groves 21 Texas High 44/Final

So PNG which defense was worse to play TH or Crosby. seems like similar results can anyone compare them? -
The real difference is we scored to go up by 17 with 8 minutes left, made then stay in bounds and by the time they got the ball back with a 10 pt lead they had 4 left in the game. The coaching staff played clock management at the end of the game because of the lead. We punted on 4th and 1 which we never do hit we were up by 10 with like 3:40 left in game. we also got our 4th downs, and punched in our red zone attempts. Kirkwood was aggressively interfered with if that’s a drop and a flag it’s 1st and goal from the 2. Unlike BH we were getting those two yards when we needed them. He also is ignoring one of those picks should have made the game a 10 point win which any team will take in a playoff game. But the defensive back immediately fumbled it giving them good field position, had he dropped it it was 3rd and 9, had he sat down it was ball game. so silly seeing BH fans try to unravel a 17 point lead in the 4th quarter and a coaching staff who did what there’s didn’t, had good time management.
