Why, when you have a kicker that can kick out of the end zone everytime, do you call a pooch kick 80% of the time allowing the other team to get the ball anywhere from the 35-50? Over the past couple of years I have only seen 2 or 3 times where it's worked in our favor and they fumbled. I would much rather know that everytime they have to start at the 25. I know someone is going to come back and say "why don't you be the coach and blah blah blah." I'm just asking a legitimate question.
You know of a high shool kicker that can KICK IT OUT OF THE END ZONE every time?  Please post that name because there will be a lot of scouts wanting to see that. ???
Taylor Noel... Am I lying Big Ned faithful??
I question the EVERYTIME part (out of the end zone, I mean).  It is my experience with human endeavors, no matter what they may be, that we humans are not perfect enough to do something EVERYTIME.  Now, that this young man may have the strongest leg in this area, or the whole world for that matter, in arguable; but without even seeing him I dispute the EVERYTIME claim.
Ok mr. literal. I used that term a little too loosely I guess. But against Angleton we kicked it deep most of the game and it was a touchback every time if I remember correctly. Out of 100 deep kicks I would say at least 90 would be touchbacks.. I still like those odds better than the pooch kick. He probably hits a good pooch kick 50-60 % of time.

If the Livingston offense is so bad then how did they score 42 last week? Just curious, maybe somebody in the know can shed some light on the subject.
played against a team with a bad defense
I don't know if i would say they are "bad" but bullpups has a point. L-wagon put up 25 points on PNG and they only scored 8 all year before that. It's kind of like people saying how good AJ looked against the Raiders.. Well duh... He should. Let's see how he looks against even an average team.

 6. Offensively it is Colton Kimler and defensively it is probably Deshaun Washington.. I hope we start putting the ball in Kimler's hand a little more, that kid is an athlete. I was also really impressed with Shaw's speed on that TD against Vidor. He smoked the defense. Washington is just a beast. He has the size and speed. Special player...
 7. Lol hey! No ragging in my 'boys! 3 of those weren't Romo's fault. Talk about the unluckiest team in the NFL...
 8. I can only judge by what I've seen. Carson Raines has the ability to put it on the money. He's scary good sometimes but the consistency isn't quite there. Montana Quirante is a beast. Who cares if he doesn't throw? That's not their offense. He is still a QB! Quirante is high on the list in my opinion as well. Not saying these two are the best in setx, but they are the best I've seen.
 9.
All this discussion is very interesting but the game will be more interesting, if Ozen could possibly be considered the underdog in this game.....there could be an upset. Both teams have a shot.
I do think Ozen is the underdog. That may just be an opinion, but I think Vidor has a big edge on defense. The offenses may be on the same level. That being said, I definitely think both teams have a shot. Should be a close game.

No team has yet to score half of that yet.
That's what Ned's big bad "D" said last year... ::)
This ain't 2011 nor is it Nederland...

He just has to down other teams in his district because his little injun boys nearly got smoked by the L-Train. That might be the only win for PNG in district. Get ready for more PNG haters. A lot of them act friendly when they are doing well, but when the wheels fall off, all of the sudden everyone else (Ned, Vidor, Ozen) isn't really that good.. Now get ready for the denials to flood in. It's very similar to how they are the most tradition-rich program with the best fans who always pack the stadium and never leave early... Well we've seen how that's gone this year...  ::)
Ah, yes. I'm a PN-G fan, so my opinion can't be valid, and the all-knowing GoDogs27 sees right through my thinly veiled evil plan to make all of the district look bad because of early perceptions of this year's PN-G team. ::)
:) never said you had a plan. You said what you said and that was your opinion, although to make such a definitive statement shows there is a little emotion behind it lol, and I have seen this countless times before. I was just wondering not too long ago when it would come out. I don't trust an Indian as far as I can throw him.

 15.
Michael, I don't usually agree with your assessments, but I see your point with the offense. They are just not very consistent and seem to rely on big plays. I don't want to get into specifics but we need to put people away and stop jacking around, it's very frustrating, I'll leave it at that.
Lol have you guys been watching the same ones I have? We put away Crosby and Goose Creek pretty handily, we went blow for blow against one of the best teams in the state in Angleton after overcoming four first quarter turnovers and were a two point conversion away from a potential win, and beat a very good Vidor team on the road in a hostile environment. In each of those games, we put together long, solid drives. I dont get it? You can't beat everyone 56-0.

I didnt say anything about Silsbee. I said Lion's backfield was sloppy, those fakes arent fooling anybody. Ned Dline is gonna see it coming and eat em up.
Plus the fact that Ned just got through facing a team running the exact same offense so they will be even more prepared for it.
I know little to nothing about different Offenses, however Livingston O looked nothing like Vidor's.
Livingston runs the slot t offense. Same as Vidor's. Did it last year and they are doing it this year. That's why they ran for 364 yards friday against lcm.
There was not half the backfield movement as I see in Vidor's. Im saying they didnt look similar in the least bit. They had fast kids, and some fakes, but never did I have trouble tracking the ball. I went to watch some ball and wasn't impressed, nothing bad to say, just wasn't impressed. It didn't look like Vidor, sorry dude.
May not look the same but it is the same offense man. You gotta realize there are several different plays and formations and motions and positioning and so on and so forth that you can do with this offense. I'm not saying that they run the exact same plays as us and run the same motions but they do run the same offense.
The reason it doesn't look the same is because nobody disguises everything as well as Vidor does. Lots of motion with the Pirates as well.
 17. It's an online forum. Each of us with our own individual opinions that don't mean jack. You got to have thicker skin than that. It's truly a wonder how some people make it in the real world....
 18.
SCreek was lucky that Crosby wasn't ahead by a score @the half.Dayt all over Crosby 35-13 @half,we play how we need to play.BTW ran down the clock w/the ball in the red zone vs Crosby & King, ran out the clock-not the scoreboard.Go ahead though put Ned ahead of Dayt for more motivation I like underdog stuff. We're going thru some injuries,Coach Jones @ King knows our Offense inside out.Are we the #3 team right now=No but we are the most dangerous hemmed in a corner.Got 6 kids that can run w/the twins all day every day ;)
I think they are both about equal right now as far as rankings on this site go. I think they should be 4-5 in either order.
 19.
question is: who moves to #2, Dayton, WO-S or Summer Creek
I would go with Summer Creek, then WO-S, then Nederland or Dayton. SC has absolutely handled games start to finish, WO-S has been solid, but not dominant offensively, and Dayton should've beat CE King by a ton, not 18.
 20. Well a lot remains to be seen from Nederland. I know this is the most complete team I have ever seen. I do agree, this is the year to make a run at a state title, but let's not put the cart before the horse here. This team has to be peaking at the right time, staying healthy, and getting better offensively every week. There are lots of variables at play. As for Vidor, I disagree with your two rounds philosophy. Vidor is either going to be one and done, or they will go probably at least three rounds deep.
 21. This is a toss-up for me. I think Vidor is the better team, but they put so much heart, energy, and soul into that Nederland game. I am wondering if there isnt going to be a little bit of hangover effect from that. Before district, I thought that Vidor would lose to Nederland and one other team. I had a suspicion it could be Ozen, but I am going to go against my gut feeling here. Vidor - 27 Ozen - 21

Just messing back with ya man. Wish we could've met at the game. I think outside this forum you and i would share some intensive conversations lol.
Yeah I am sure we would have! Ill be at the Vidor playoff games if they dont conflict with Ned so maybe at one of those we will meet..
