Just because teams have won recent titles, doesn't mean they are good teams THIS year! Hell you can go 16-0 one year and 5-5 the next! These high school teams lose great players every year! You can't say a team was great this year because what they've done in recent years!

The stronger schedule debate is settled quite easily. WOS opponents were 113 and 66 with one tie. They faced exactly one team that did not play in postseason.
Gilmers opponents were 95 and 82. 9 opponents made playoffs. Yes for both i included the playoffs. They faced two 9 loss teams, two 7 loss teams, four 6 loss teams and three 5 loss teams.
WOS did play a 10 loss team but that evens with the two 5 loss teams Gilmer started playoffs against.
Every non district opponent for WOS made playoffs and one plays tomorrow.
That all is not opinion. These are all facts

And another thing...I've seen all over this site and the downlow site that everyone believes gilmer is unbeatable because of the amount of points they have scored in those wins! Yes it is impressive but honestly it doesn't matter! You don't have to win every game by 50 to be the best! You just have to beat the best by 1!!!! Hell if it was about scoring the most points, then Oregon would be the most unbeatable team in college football! But every year they run into a defensive team and lose!!! Just saying win by 50 or win by 1 a win is a win!!!!

Yes we lost 2 games early in the season! One of those losses came to a team that's also gonna win state Thursday! And the other was to a team 3 times our size! Both of them came in our sophomore qbs first few games! The WOS team now is NOT the WOS team that lost those games!!!!! But please look at them as a two loss team!!!

You're right. All I'm saying though issssssss. You put gilmers schedule in front of Scarborough. Scarborough is district Champs that year. Just saying.

That just means they're hungry Brotha. 1987 was long time ago and they had some good teams in between. We know because we faced one of them in 2009. Nothing like being back in the Big Dance and I for one am happy for them. I'm also happy that it's Gilmer that gets a chance to ball with them. I know the Mustangs will be ready and I can promise.....these Buckeyes will be too!!

I don't disagree with you. I know full well the triumphs an tradition of Newton. I wish we had a little more competition earlier.......but Daingerfield was down and I mean way down. Tatum was about as inconsistent as they could be. Carthage tried hard but were mismatched. They still went a couple rounds deep. Liberty Eylau went 4 rounds and took Argyle to the brink of elimination. From the outside it looks like we played a week schedule and to some part I will agree with that. But what we did was take some very tradition rich schools and beat them senseless. You can't take that away from us.
