Actually Nederland fans need to shut up. This is a Vidor topic not Nederland. If you want to argue w/ Vidor fans start a thread and stay out of this one. You wonder why no one likes Nederland or Vidor, this is why. Vidor beating Nederland is like a superbowl to us, we do not have a winning tradition like Ned. This is why beating Ned. was such a big deal, now get over it give Vidor's TEAM their props and move on. We are worried about Central not Nederland. Good Luck to all teams Friday.

I am sure there have been many instances where home cookin has happened. I would think its usaully because we are mad about losing.

There are always gonna be bad calls but usually that goes both ways. The calls always even out in the end.

Not always, did you see the Oklahoma vs. Oregon game? I think there are refs who just make bad calls, not on purpose, but they are just not good at their job. It is definately the hardest job to be a referee, you have to see so many things at once w/ no replay. But it can be done so there is no excuse when you make a bad call. I do think it matters where the refs are from or who they know on the team, which is why they should get refs who do not know anyone on the staff or from the town. It is kinda like picking a jury, they ask you if you know the defendent or the attorneys to check for potential jury bias in the case.

Well I'm not sure what VICE VERSUS means, but Vice Versa would mean both Lumberton and Vidor. Just trying to spread some education around here.

Lumberton played a great game. They did what they had to to win, but the officiating was completely one sided. Not to make excuses because it happens in every game, but they need to monitor the officials and maybe implement a replay system or something. Great game to Lumberton, horrible game to the officials. Lumberton could be wild card in this insane district.

I remember that one. Also did anyone see the hit in the FSU vs. Miami game in 2003. It was raining hard and Miami WR Roscoe Parrish ran an out pattern and never saw the FSU CB Stanford Samuels coming. As soon as Parrish caught the ball he got hit and water flew everywhere. The ball flew out on a perfectly legal, but viscous hit. Both players where out for a few minutes. Great hit.

No we beat Nederland in 2002, 10-8. I played in that one, but that wasn't a district game. This one was a HUGE win though.

Mosely played very well. Vidor focused on him mostly and allowed other guys to play well as well. Mosely better get a D-1 scholarship or I'll be very shocked.

Nederland is a very good team. They have more weapons than #20. Both teams played great football.

Vidor wants this to be a rivalry even though our rivalry is with PNG. 51-6 record with one win in the last 23 years for vidor is not a rivalry.

Everyone is a rival to Vidor. No one likes us for some reason so we do not like anyone else. It has been like that since I can remember. If you notice that when they post the threads for the week like Nederland vs. Vidor, it gets the most replies because no one likes us. It will be the same next week when it is Lumberton vs. Vidor(I think that is who we play) this thread will have 13 pages by next Friday also.

You are right about the message boards, but it is not just here. Everywhere I go in this area it is like that. I was just wanting people to justify their remarks. I don't mind the trash talking because I know it is part of the game, it's being put down everytime someone mentions Vidor that gets to me.

I hate how all of you people get on these boards and do nothing but dog on Vidor. If that is what makes you feel good that is fine, but I think it is time to grow up just a little. Do I think Vidor is going to beat Nederland? No, I think Nederland will win by 10, but don't trash talk the people who are rooting for their team. I am from Vidor and I hope they play a good game, and who knows stranger things have happened on the field. I think most of you are out of high school so lets show a little maturity and stop trash talking with high school kids. So all of you who keep putting down people and calling them names for saying Vidor will win, just shut your mouth and grow up. I've searched the boards and I see no one that gets put down more than people from Vidor and I don't understand why. Will someone answer this question for me??
