  1. I just don't get it . I have not read a post were it says Silsbee is the better team. If there is one let me know. I have read where it says Silsbee is a bettter team than WO-S is use to playing. And I'll say this again, WO-S played bad because Silsbee was there, Silsbee lost because WO-S was there.

Wet field both teams had to play on it, Refs both teams had them. Call it like it was a GREAT GAME!!!!

  2. Hold on here do not forget this was a great game. Don't take that away. Both teams played very good. Don't take that away from them eather. Nothing bad intended here, but WO-S is not use to playing close games. WO-S played bad because Silsbee was there. Silsbee lost because WO-S was there. WO-S had two fumbles because Silsbee forced them. Silsbee had 3 INT's because WO-S was there. Like I said before I hated that Silsbee lost. I fill like Silsbee should have won this game. Congrads WO-S. I love them TIGERS!!! But don't make excuses. Both teams were there. Don't take that away from the players.

  3. This was a great game. Everyone, out side of Silsbee, thought this was going to be a blow out for WO-S. Silsbee blew this game with INT's in the red zone. Both Defence's did a good job. There were a lot of flags on the ground. It seamed like any time there was a long play there was a flag to bring it back. On both sides. This was a great atmosphere for a game. Just like the playoffs. I hated we lost this game. I felt like we should have won this game, but it did not happen. Congrads WO-S, good luck the rest of the way.

  4. The teams have been playing for weeks, both teams know what each other is going to do. Size and speed wise these teams match up good. Silsbee has not played a solid four quarters yet, and it seems like every time WO-S steps on the field they play a solid four quarters. I have read alot on this site about Silsbee giving WO-S a run for there money. One thing is for sure ole big Dan will have WO-S ready. I cant wait to see how Silsbee will respond from last week at HF. I know Im ready to see this game. Homecoming, WO-S, Silsbee, undefeated district teams this is going to be a good one. One thing about Silsbee, much like WO-S, is we are not afraid of anyone, but we respect everyone. Well give anyone a chance to come to our homecoming and play on our field. See you at the game.

  5. Hardest hit I saw was right here at Lamar, back in the day. They were playing Houston and Eugean Seal hit there RB/QB, dont know witch one, so hard he flew about eight yards in the air backwards. Mite be some film on that on somewhere. Also, Silsbee big Pat Henry in a game with WO-S, I think it was them, put a hit on there QB and knocked him out. On the next play WOS had there second QB in there and he knocked him out. We still lost the game, but those two hits were pricless.

  6. Silsbee will win this distrect. Silsbee will bounce back big time after the BC loss. With that coach there and the talant of the team they just got P  st off. They have H-J and H-F next week. Silsbee won the first time with H-F. This next game should be a classic.

  7. Wore them down is right. Silsbee has got to get a handle on the amount of fumbles they have each game. We did beat a good BC team but we can not keep fumbling the ball. Our luck will run out if we dont correct it. The games are getting fewer and the percentages keep going up. The Offense did a good job and that BIG D did a great job. If not for the fumbles the D would have put up a big goose egg. GOOD JOB TIGERS :!:

  8. I would have to say Silsbee/Jasper. For PNG/Ned. its easy beening someones rival if you live next to them. As a matter of fact its hard to tell where the boundarys begin and end, if it were not for the colors. Yes they go back a long, long time and have played year in and year out. And it is close to all of the TV stations. They are very rich in tradition. Silsbee/Jasper has had the distinction of playing in the states toughest 4a district since the late 70's where each game had play-off hopes in it. No matter if one team was up or the other down, or both teams were up. Also, they do not live right around the corner, they are 45 miles apart. They are 30 min. to 1 hour away from the TV stations, not in there back door. There also has been a time when this rivalery was so heated they had to stop playing for a while. Silsbee /Jasper are in 3a now and back in the toughest district in the state. Each person has there own rival team out there. Some farther off than others. Its not just who started first or how many times they have played. It mite very well be what is on the line when they play or who else is playing in the district.
