As far as setting, Tiger Stadium compares nicely to that one in PNG or that one along I-10.

West End 1 Silsbee 0. This was a great great game. Just cant say enough about this game. Good job Silsbee and congrat and good luck West End.

Silsbee beat Lumberton 6-2. This was one great game. Now we head to the championship game against West End.

Silsbee beat North Bmt 14-9 last night. Now playes Lumberton to see who goes to the championship game. Lumberton lost to West End, West End advances to the championship game.

Silsbee beat Jasper 23-13. Now we play North Bmt in Silsbee tonight.

Silsbee beat Kountze 11-1. Kountze is eliminated. Silsbee will next play the loser of West End/Jasper game Thur.

The elimination games are playing tonight. North Bmt travles to Kirbyville and Silsbee travles to Kountze. Spindletop was eliminated last night by Kirbyville.

You have to play in 60% of the games played.

Congrats to the new Tigers coach.

Yes if all these young men keep progressing forward Silsbee will be hard to handle next year.

Not to bad of a game for just the first one. First year jetters with every thing will be better next year. Can't wait to see who the coaches will be next year or where the the game will be played. Good job every one.

Last summer two of Silsbee's top pitchers had Tommy John surgery. Now this summer after a year of pain staken rehab, and the agony of the slow process of pitching lessons this weekend these two young men stepped back on the pitching mound. Clint Scoggins playing for the Gladiators and Colby Jenkins playing for the Sun Devils came away with very good results. This is a great confidents builder for these young men as it is the first step in there last step of recovery. Continue to move forward young men.

[/quote] Trust me, it is being heavily discussed in board and admin meetings. It was pretty much a done deal a couple of months ago but a few things have cropped up setting it back some. One being that they need to address the outfield drainage situaition on the baseball diamond. They are now looking into maybe [b]turfing everything,[/b] not just the football field. I do know that a turf company (same one that turfed the new Cowboy Stadium) has already came out to measure Tiger Stadium. [/quote] How do you turf the infield of a true softball field? Just give the girls field raised home and visitors stands and a press box.

Go to the next school board meeting. Not just one or some, but a bunch of people and protest it. See if they will hear the tax payers, and if not vote them out and do the same thing. Are run for school board and change it. I think it should have been named different too. Thomas's name goes better on a school building than a football stadium.

No other team in the state of Texas has played WOS closer than Silsbee has. NO ONE. Over the past four years the games have really came down to the last seconds of the game. I can say this we love playing WOS they make you play above your norm. The question was asked "Do you think Silsbee CAN win District 21-3A Again this Season??" If you are a true football fan your answer has to be yes. Yes Silsbee has just as good a chance as WOS to win the district crown. But just go ahead and count Silsbee out this year we don't mind going under the radar. 

LU just starting a football program, why would we want players that where kicked off other teams. Just asking.

1985 Girls Track State Champions. Sylvia Brydson, there was a Green and a Belinda and a Belisha on that team. Can't remember any others sorry. Miss Bryson was smooth as you could get. I think she tried out for the USA track team. But its been a long time I mite be wrong.
