I was told they did.

There is one high school spot and two junior high spots open. Did both junior high coaches leave? I thought the female coach was staying - last year was her first. Two coaches leave at the high school but only one spot open, are they down sizing? Heard rumors that melancon is going to the El. to teach PE, will she still coach?
Can not answer those questions.

used to be Conroe McColloughwho is mcCollough?

Slack, Birdwell and Kirby are still on the boys side. Cox and Melacon are still with the girls. Huddleston went to WH, LaChapelle is out of coaching and teaching in Goose Creek isd and Lee College, Lilley is moving closer to home at the Woodlands McCollough and Moore is to Anahuac. Hope that clears up the coaching situation.

I've heard the same thing shermdog.
That is a trust me on that one. I have had the opportunity to work with him. He is also excellent in the classroom and will teach young coaches about football.

Hud is WH's new DC. He will put the kids in the best scheme to win. He is a solid coach.

Freshman class will number 130 plus or minus. Got that number from the HS Principal.

when i was a freshman we played there and it had rained the night before and from the sideline to the track was at least 4 inches deep they may have fixed the drainage since then but im not sure
Drains were fixed last year.

I like the NFL ways personally...I think if you fall on the ground without getting touched, that you should be able to get back up and continue. Many interceptions this year i saw, was someone diving for it, and if they were to get back up, it would be a touchdown! Also I'm pretty sure it could help some players. Players could use it as a technique.
I do not think that the NCAA or UIL would change that rule. It would pretty hard to enforce. In HS you only have 5 officials to see the game. AT the next level and beyond you have seven to watch the game. HS oficials already have enough to watch for and The level of experience from the NCAA to HS, is a hundred miles apart. You now have first and second year officials calling varsity games. That did not used to happen, just like a first year coach becoming a head coach.
The other thing I do not understand, is what do you mean by technique? I would call it hustle!

Once it quits raining, HD's field drains off fairly quickly. Unless you have field turf, water will stand on just about any field in southeast Texas. The rain kept us from mowing the field in the spring. Mowers were just to heavy.h-d's flood like crazy....and in 7 on 7 which is exeptional the grass was seriously shin high

insulting my teamate's, .........HE HAD A BROKE THUMB!, get ur story straite
Adrians thumb was not broke. Sam had a badly turned ankle. He played with alot of tape and toughed it out to play some tough defense. I have my story straight.

sorry to upset u west hardin.......but u have lost the only talent yall ever had, and that's simmon's and letsinger,.....and as for putting us on our back's...haha, u better think twice, cuz now little taylor boy will replace my older brother....u might have heard of him......i think his name was Pat....lol, good luck west hardin.....ur gonna need it
This needs to be in the on the field thread.

i feel like we have a real shot in going undefeated in district, never mind .......i know we will go undefeated in district, the only reason we didnt this year is because we put a faulty Q-B in instead of our regular wich is sam elliot, against west hardin
It is time to be quiet. You are insulting your teammates! One player does not make a team.
-
i think westbury christian has a horrable field, the lines on the field were dead grass caused by deisel spillage, and the track was concrete, ......not safe
That was a middle school in HISD. If I am correct, they share a varsity field.

THe Moore that is interviewing, is the son of Doug Moore a former HD coach. Not Kirk Moore currently on staff.
-
I did not notice that. I saw both of them in HS. They were two big boys.
The other school huh
Yeah, that was an intense game between those two. They never played up the hype. Jason was like whatever. It was fun to be around.
-
How can you mention Mathews without talking about Shane Dronett?
I knew Jason in college. Dronett went to the other school. I guess the question is how did two guys who made it to the league not get on that list? But the Dronett question was quoted, I did not see the sense in repeating it.
-
Where's Shane Dronett?
That was my question and what about Jason Mathews? Come on 10 years in the league ought to count for something. Looks like this is a pup that does not know some of the history.
