these rankings are done by one guy, who hasnt seen everyone play.   They are based on win/loss, not margin or where the game was played.   Not very accurate, but good for fans and players to see where they stack up...   BU, Woodville and HJ are all about where they should be right now.  All three need to just keep their head down and do work... one game at a time...  The end of season ranking is the one that is remembered and the one that matters!  Those are the ones that produce banners!

2. Play against quality teams that “know how to play” so that the games dont resemble rugby bu players that are unskilled.
3. Teach kids how to negate that type of contact so that it does not become an issue.
Been there, done that... I fee your pain, but do t necessarily put it at the officials feet.  People that put on tournaments need three man crews, but alot of coaches use tournaments as fundraisers instead of a chance to compete and dont want to pay the extra money.

Nice to see them get some recognition!!  Should run the table and have a good draw for the first 3 rounds as well... probably clear lake school in 2nd round then a good test vs summer creek to go to the regional tourney...

Lady Hawks win 100-29.
Lady Hawks travel to Westbrook tomorrow to take on the Lady Bruins.  9th at 4, JV at 5:30, Varsity at 7.
Touching tribute by current and former players before the game for Alix Neel, a graduate from last years team who tragically lost her life in September...

Well run tournament with some amazing talent!  The twin guards from Jersey Village are two of the smoothest I have seen in a long while!  Big Post Player from Lufkin and Summer Creek were dominant and the guards from Desoto were like hyenas...   For us to go 2-1 against these type of teams says alot for the work our girls have put in.  Lots more to improve, but a god start for the Lady Hawks.

Sure thing Coach. All these young ladies at all the schools work very hard as well as the coaches who are developing them. They deserve the recognition for their efforts.
