It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. PNG will have an explosive offense with either QB, but they need to win or the natives will get restless.
-
Is Morse now the starter at PNG, what about Walker?
-
Sorry but I think that title will go to jaquet from Central. Just my opinion though.
-
Is the 1st game at 10am or 1pm tuesday? I thought one of the news channels said 10:00.
-
In 2004 Nederland beat WB. When Stump came in he wanted to play bigger schools to prepare his team for district and playoffs, he wanted to drop Ozen and Central as well and play 5a schools for the same reason and the AD wouldn't let him, WB backers where complaining about having to play 4a schools.
-
Good stuff. Can't wait to see this group of Bulldogs.

Who deleted the thread and why?

Not gonna happen. We plan in sweeping MC this year... ;)
-
Why does WB have twice the enrollment of Ozen, why not have the enrollment numbers closer from school to school, and have all 3 schools competeing in the same district.
-
Nederland has just made things real interesting.
-
Has the game started? Who's on the mound for both teams?
-
who's pitching?

Anyone have any news about the off season? We have alot of holes to fill, but this is a good group.
Looks like Sage will get a shot at QB, Peyton Devries has moved to LB along side Mayfield, and little Mayfield and Trevor Breaux are looking good in the secondary. I'm looking forward to seeing Austin Krautz carry a bigger offensive load this year, he has the instincts you can't teach, I think he will be a touchdown machine for the
Big Ned offense, and with Marcus Barton returning in the backfield they will be a 1-2 punch that will be hard to stop. -
does anyone know what ned's line up was and the batting order, just wondering.
-
You said it yourself, Preston did a great job, you may feel Sage is the better QB and I wouldn't dispute that, but I think the coaches felt the best thing for the TEAM was to have Sage play both ways, and he had a hell of a year also offensively and defensively. It's a new year and I think Sage will once again play where Coach Neumann feels that he can help this TEAM the most, period. That may be QB this year or it may not, you have some very capable QB's at Nederland
-
Returning defensively for Nederland: Connor Hughes DE, Sage Seay safety, Austin Krautz CB, Leon Mayfield LB. Krautz will carry a big load on offense this year, he should be a scoreing machine, so he may play less defensively.

So the idea behind high school football is to get a handfull of athletes to the next level, that's it, the hell with TEAM WORK. It's the ME FIRST mentality that keeps alot of these schools from having a good program that helps ALL the kids develope into responsible adults. This whole conversation is "BS", 99% of these kids won't play college football, but you think the program should be there to help the 1% that might have the tools to make it playing college football, the school doesn't owe you anything, you play because you want to.

Nederland.

Everyone knows Neumann will go with whoever gives us the best chance to win, end of story.
-
We may or may not lose a district game or games next year, but either way we will not suck. This coaching staff has proven they can put the pieces together, they do a great job of adjusting to strengths with personel, formations, and strategies to compete year in and year out.

You act is Nelson was the 2nd coming of Durley. Any coach that runs the spread @Ozen falls short IMO----including Nelson. Brooks was their best by leaps and bounds. Maybe with Strong at TU, more coaches will go back to the I-formation.....
Ozen seems to have to many turnovers running the spread, I think they should go back to a pro style offense with multiple formations and a heavy dose of running the ball, but as a nederland fan I enjoy them running the spread, you know they're going to shoot themselves in the foot all night long.

QB race will go on all spring and into the fall, but that position will be fine, Seay will lead the defense and the team for that matter, Krautz hasn't scratched the surface of what he is capable of, if he can stay healthy he is a game changer. It will be a fun year in the new 22-5A.
What you're thinking? 22-5a
