  1. Do you really think that's what PA wants...smashmouth...they had that with Charles...if someone like Stowers we to come in, and I say again...IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN...running a similar style of offense as what they did this year @ Central which is what Stowers loves...that would piss every WR off at the school and the fans sure wouldn't understand it, yelling out "Throw the ball more...these coaches are stupid...not much different than what we had here...No doubt PA has athletes...but you do have alot of drama...is this not the barber shop, can we not talk about our issues on here...y'all got issues and guess what so do we! Yeah, smashmouth would work. If not the wishbone, then the I. Colbert was just dumb for handing off to JC 500 times a game and not throwing more. One of those QB's left PAM and started for New Mexico 3 years. Porterie I believe so it's possible. Besides, teams like Trinity, Clear Lake, Katy, all run down hill and utilize play action. The spread is for sissies and if a WR wants to quit because PAM isn't throwing enough the let them. Football is a collision sport and it's time PAM start playing real football instead of sissy ball....
  2. Actually, I was reffering to those schools in 'Real America' i. e. Nederland and Port Neches.....
  3. Unless you can site numbers of school age children commiting crimes in PA, please drop all of this 'let go of the streets' nonesense. A switch from sissy ball to something more smashmouth would instantly turn the program around---especially if the incoming HC can empty up the staff starting with Viola and Harrison. Well KH can coach up the WR. I guess if PA medicated their kids like other school districts, I guess the job will be more attractive no?
  4. Just seems like and AD post but there's only 1 high school which doesn't make sense to me. He could do the AD job as well as coach the Bball team and the district pays only 1 salary vs. 2....
  5. Exibit 'A'. The PA Cowboys trip to the Pop Warner Championships in Florida..... Like I said, it's about choices. There are 3 or 4 PW teams in PA and probably less than that number in little leagues. Same with Little League/AAU basket ball and track. It's about the kids chosing other sports than baseball. I still think if Central's baseball team can have a good season along with their soccer team, anybody who's willing to put the work in can turn around the baseball/softball programs in PA enough to make the playoffs at least....
  6. Here's my list (since we won't get one from Boob West): Crawford of North Forest Wilson of Lamar Consolidated Homes of Galveston Ball Suggs formerly of Nimitz Stowars of Central Of those listed, Wilson has 2 rings to go with the fact of turning LC's program around 5 years ago...
  7. True. It's not without parents, it's about the kids chosing football and basketball over little league baseball IMO....
  8. The baseball/softball programs would be a gigantic challange to turn around but with the right folks in place, especially you, BRuth, we can do it......
  9. Not a darn thing wrong with PU. I think they have their name on one of the bowls. I guess the only sponsor not tied to Wall Street. Anyway, don't need a new stadium. Some field turf maybe because the score board is the best(yes I said it) in the Golden Traiangle. Who needs a band when you have that sound system...
  10. I'll be my own hype but I do suffer from sinus problems in November so I'll call on you and others to get the kids minds right...
  11. Thing about Stowers, he's pissed off half of the North/South end including Mrs. Lambert lol. Hopefully, he's learned from his mistakes wherever he decides to go....
  12. That's what I heard from my neighbor who's wife is a conselor@Central. Heard that last week.....
  13. Forget Viola his 3-3-5 defense. That's the first thing that needs to go....
  14. I dont care who you bring in, PAM will never compete in football unless they have another Jamal Charles out there. I will go out say that they will not even compete with West Book unless they lose Stump and all they good players go back to OZEN. Whateva Player. A strong player doesn't depend on 1 or 2 kids to save it. It instills a coaching philosophy that no matter is midgets or giants come through, they will still win ball games.
  15. My Coaching Philosophy goes as follows: We play downhill---both sides of the ball We refer to the Spread as 'Sissy Ball' and will attack it as such We hit that iron as if our lives depend on it. No excusses when it comes to Acedemics: If you can read and watch film, you can study and excell in the class room. It's all repetition
  16. We would raid the basketball team. We wouldn't limit the kids to just 1 sport so look out for some 6' 2" to 6' 5" 9 Techs.....
  17. I heard about the letter from Purvis Ex, but you should be okay but if I were the HC, you have to run the 3-4 eventhough you don't like it as a prerequisite(sp) for employment.....
  18. Football will be fine. I just want Boutte to coach and AD. So bye bye Henderson with your no coaching self and hello Boutte and hopefully and quality Head FC
  19. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Change is coming to PAISD baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First order of business. Convince the board that I, SFA 85 can be the AD as well 2nd run ever coach from Varsity to middle school off the coaching roster.... 3rd. Install the Georgia Tech option and the 3-4 defense More changes coming soon. P. S. I laughed my ass off when I saw this thread.....
  20. First, let me say Amen and Thank God.... Now unless Boutte's gonna coach the Bball team also, PA needs to make the job Head Football Coach/AD and pay 1 person vs. 2 as if PA is a multischool district. Paying another administrator is wasting money. Get rid of Hampshire because if the Head Trainer can't order jock straps and mouthpieces under budget, he or she need to find another line of work. I heard rumors of Stowers looking to head south plus my favorite coach who got away, Suggs, is unemployed at the moment. So I wonder if Boob West will put out a list, or will he push Kenny the OC in name only...... Stay tuned....
  21. Sad thing, kids/parents run from competition. When did Nederland or PN-G become a basketball magnet all of a sudden? Bottom line: I expect to see many a kid come back to PA--especially those in the Stonegate area with a brand new shiny school in their back yard. An elementary is being built in the are also.... We need an AD/HC not some made up position as if PA was a multi-high school district....
  22. Tatums problems were not his arm or his accuracy. His problems were the playcalling and being on his back all year because the defense pinned their ears back everytime he dropped back to pass. That tends to happen when you only throw on third and obvious! Did you even see him play? Glad Bevil will be in the fold. Just wonder how the switch from a run oriented option offense to the spread will suit him. The good news is he will have a year to learn it and adjust. Saw him play against Ozen last year and didn't have to see him play this year because he didn't improve. I worked with Tatums uncle, met his father(before he died), and know his grandmother. But he still isn't college material @QB. Maybe he can play safety or something....
  23. Having a Masters is in compliance with Texas law to be an administrator which is what an AD is. Otherwise, they would have to hire the AD seperate from the HC. Can anyone confirm this?
  24. Dude, you're not serious...are you? ??? We've been running out of out Two TE set since Nederland and have been pretty darn good with it! I know you're just being a fan and stating you opinion, but we manhandled them up front! They were making shoestring tackles and even late in the game they were finding ways to make plays...which is what a good team should do! Our problem seemed to be depth or the lack of it at certain positions...CT #9 barely plays b/c of the flu...DM #9 sprains his ankle...TH #52 pulls a muscle in his back during the first drive and he's a major part of the succress of the line!....well needless to say we had our opportunties to get it done and we didn't! They started to force us to run up the middle and with our #1 FB out...we had to got w/ the bigger and not as quick guy who did quite well going both ways! Real simple OB, with the 2 TE set you allow the defense to keep 11 in the box which at least 2 will go unblocked on every play. Central ran the ball better out of the 2 WR/Wishbone set which F'wood had to at least play man with the Corners and keep if not 1 but both Safeties back. They just got too conservative IMO considering this is a win or go home situation. The one trick play that was tried was a bust from the get go.
