They seem to have a little bit of toughness at the point of attack from last year, but as the scrimmage wore on, the same old soft defense, inconsistant offense showed up. The big positive I saw was the lower classes getting after it but that's the norm in PA. Freshmen and JV do well but when they get to varsity, they fall off. Can't blame the kids, they only do what they're told. BTW, the Berry Centre serves 8 5A schools in the Cypress-Fairbanks school district, not 4.

I would've been in the Pear Orchard but that got cancelled. Me and my buddy @the DCU and his kids went to the scrimmage. The stadium is nice but it's no Berry Centre.....

WOW, you sure are proud. Whipped is the word you use, if you say so. png's offense was decent. We (MHS) can't figure out 3rd and 10 to save our lives,That's been our Achilles heel for 5 years. Offense moved the ball at will from 20 to 20, with the run and the pass. So (Proud) please controll your composure. Proud is right. Whipped. All PN-G did was bring the band out and PAM began to fall apart. Meanwhile, the HC was the HCheerleader instead of working on his in-game management skills.....

Well it doesn't help a brand new secondary with piss poor technique. But they're only doing what they're being told..... Again, pityful......

Same old PAM. Inconsistant on O, soft on D. I don't know who coaches the secondary but could someone please pass on to him or them if in Man or cover 3, teach the kids to keep their eyes on the receivers instead of looking in the backfield the whole time. And of course, I don't wanna talk about the 1 read passing game of the Titans but let me get to the meat of this rant.... Xbox Kenny needs to calm down and let his assistants do all the cheerleading and hyping up of the team. I've been watching football going on 30 years and I've never seen a HC run into the endzone to celebrate a TD with his players. Pathetic. If he only could teach the defense to tackle with the same enthusiasm as he lets the team jump up and down during warmups, PAM would be a whole lot better than they showed tonight. I see another NS blowout along with the Woodlands coming to town and mopping the field with them.... I said I wasn't going to any PAM games until 2011 but Ozen's scrimmage was cancelled so.....

I have this theory about the current state of football..... For the exception of a WO-S and LM of a couple of years ago, for the most part, defenses of spread teams are soft. Non-physical, and depend on the offense to outscore opponents. So to answer your question, he may be good DC scheme wise but a.) Xbox Kenny is the coach and b.)since Xbox loves the spread, PAM's defense while be as soft as drug store cotton..... See y'all in 2011.....

This is an old message but I had to say something here... The Memorial Head Coach will not be defined by his first game!!! No head coach is. Lets give him a body of work of about two years before we judgew what kind of coach he will be. Totally agree with that one Short. Tell that to SFA85. ;D He said 10 wins was a goal. I don't think he could get 10 wins in 10 years..... His 'Body of work' thus far is as thin as his resume`.......

SFA talking to a local coach this morning and was telling me that Katy teaches their kids to chop block. Says that Katy has a hard time getting games bc there is are often times that a defensive hurt bc way Katy blocks. Thoughts or comments? The last time I saw Katy, it was when they played PAM in the 3rd round in '04. Their O-line was big enough to use proper technique. They had this kid @tailback who was an all-state wrestler. Now NS beat Katy 10-7 last year but Conroe McCollough(Y'all know them as the Woodlands) ran Katy out of the gym while hurting 6 Tigers in the process.... Never heard Katy being accused of chop blocking or high-low tactics...

Katy runs the 3-4 defense and runs out of the I while WB leads the area in 'Sissy Ball' teams on offense and runs a 4-3. I'll take Katy by 17 but I'm interested on NS vs. Katy week 1....

Let me address some of these responses from the Right of this forum as best as I can. I still stand by my claim that SP is a dimwit. There are plenty of intellengent women and men on the Right and SP is way out of their league. The anti intellectualism of the Republicans-----moving more toward a Theocracy makes them no better than the ruling Mulas in Iran.... You can sugarcoat Bristol's out of wedlock child all you want. If that was a 5th cousin of BHO twice removed, the Right would've been all over that.
