  1. Another SLC type program with half of the resources. Won a ton of games in 3A and haven't slowed down since moving up....
  2. I know there's a thread on going with back and forth between Central/Traingle fans and F'wood fans but I feel Stowars and Co. help F'wood by leaving about 8 points on the field. Can't blame them for the missed xtra point try but kicking field goals in the first quarter vs. going for 4th and short---making that and scoring TD's was the difference in the game along with play calling in the 3rd quarter as if they were up by 14. Central's D did all it could under the circumstances defending a short field the majority of the 3rd quarter. I understand wanting to run the ball but you can't run out of that 2 TE formation because that allows all 11 defenders in the box. If they would kept the 2 WR formation plus some broken Bone once and a while, the run and the pass would've been available. Maybe, just maybe, they would've ran Friendswood out of Shanadoah and would be getting ready for Lake Travis... Oh well, nobody could've predicted this kind of sucess for CMMHS Class of '09. Good luck to the Seniors who left it all out on the field and hopefully Central, along with Ozen, will be back in the thick of 20 4A next season....
  3. Upset brewing. HP is down by 14....
  4. I don't know Hawk. The Angleton/Central winner will probably beat Friendswood(Angleton already beat them in district) so LT will have to contend with that Reg 3 speed one more time....
  5. yeah ive seen them play and also know the LB from trinity pretty good(he used to try and get isadore to come to kansas with him when he was committed there)but i dont think any team in texas can beat these guys judson almost beat trinity last year and i dont think trinty matches up well against LT either...........they do have two players on their team going to UT and their both on the same side of the ball First off, LT runs that spread which IMO, is touch football with pads. I'll take an I-formation, Oline that average 280 across the board, downhill running team any day of the week against a team like LT....
  6. Larry Haynes destroyed a once proud Aldine Eisenhower program with all that spread nonsense. And he hasn't gotten out of the region during his other stops either....
  7. you gotta be crazy i dont care how much size and speed they have i dont think there's a team in texas that can beat lake travis(5A included) I'd take Longview or Carter over LT. Then there's always those Trinity Trojans(since you're all up on LT).....
  8. The answer to your first question is no... lol And I'm always nice. I just make obersvations Ms Diva. Long time no chat. How's the married life???
  9. Co-worker that's close to Roy and his dad told me this last night @work. Stay tuned Penny....
  10. The play of the game was that 14 yard punt from NS's own 6 yard line with less than 3 min left in the game. Two undefeated teams. Not the first time NS lost in the 2nd round. Westfield ran them off 2 years in a row......
  11. And you could go to sfa's website........oops, nevermind Alot of you posers are very lucky I'm not a Moderator. Otherwise, y'all would have your own section: The MC Crying Game---oops I mean Crying Room.... Sfa85, I didn't read much about Paul Roy this year, what happened, hurt? He quit. Too much competition at the RB spot I guess. I heard last night, he'll transfer back to Nederland....
  12. I'd prefer if they would let Peanut pitch on occation. It's always there but they don't trust him. I hope going into the spring, the impliment the full option. If so, Central may be unstoppable locally....
  13. And you could go to sfa's website........oops, nevermind Alot of you posers are very lucky I'm not a Moderator. Otherwise, y'all would have your own section: The MC Crying Game---oops I mean Crying Room....
  14. You'd think they would do all this wailing and knashing of teeth on bigned.com.....
  15. I agree with you on the indecision making from Brook's QB. Wrong decisions on the option, intentional grounding (which the refs called a fumble ??? ??? ), and whether to run or pass. Young man tried and played his heart out though. I agree with you on they keying in on Michael, although I believe Michael did too much dancing in the backfield. I do not believe Brook would have lost by 4 TD's to katy. I do believe that Brook had something nice by sending LB blitzes in to dissrupt Dickinson's offense. They went away from it in the second half. The Dickinson QB had entirely too much time in the pocket. Also, Dickinson's offensive playcalling was so predictable! If they run a play, and it works, they do it the next play, and the play after that untill you stop it. It was going like this all day long. I do not believe that next year, will be a rebuilding year. Yall have something good going on in the West End and y'all will make the playoffs next year. Congrads on a great season, Brook. I will be with yall again next year (except if they are playing Central ;D ) We are losing 30+ seniors and all of our playmakers....we will be rebuilding for the 2010 season. Given the fact that we're in a 6 team district, and four of those will make the playoffs, we'd really have to screw up to not make the playoffs. I'm not sure if we would make it out of the first round, but we'll be there. Stump's oldest son was the QB on a freshman squad that beat NS this year.....the only team to beat NS. When that group get's up to the varsity level, WATCH OUT! We should make some noise in a couple of years. Supposedly, both PAM freshmen teams beat NS also.....
  16. 24-21 Central Final!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. haha wow that's encouraging! =P Checked Angleton's stats on Chron.com. QB is the running threat. They don't throw either and they did beat Friendswood....
  18. They need to take better care of the football
  19. If it were me, I'd take US 90 all the way til it runs out @Beltway 8. Take the beltway to 45 N and exit 105 W. 6 in one hand, half a dozen in the other....
  20. Damn NF is huge but they remind me of early Ozen teams. Couldn't block in a spread formation. Couldn't tackle well. I listened to the NF/Dayton game and it's hard for me to see how NF put 30 points on Dayton....
  21. Luckily, playing Livingston gives you some insight on Lockhart's version of the Wing T. It's amazing to me how many schools are going back to the run and getting away from that sissy spread O. Last night, the game was delayed 5 minutes or so because NF's band was late and the announcer sang the National Anthem himself to start the game but take out the stoppage for the numerous penalties and that game would've lasted 2 hours lol. Anyway, Lockhart's loss to Gregory-Portland out of Reg 4 may be the only team on their schedule that may have the speed and size of Central. Stowars will have to make his front 7 stay at home for all the fakes and misdirection and if so, I see those Jags playing in round 3...
  22. You want straight ahead-son I told you to hit the 4 hole type of runners then Grogan and the Ltrain RB are your guys. If you want speed, agility, good hands, then it's C. Mike and the kid from Kirbyville. I also like the big men from Navasota and Madisonville also. Both are 6' 2"
  23. Time for the OldmanoftheSea and Xbox Kenny to go.... They can take Viola and his gimmick 3-3-5 with them also
