PNG's Coach Faircloth wired on KFDM.com

Normally(and y'all can check the records) after PN-G makes a nice run, there's a drop off. We'll see how good Faircloth manages to buck the trend.....
Under Burnett, he had the talent to smack you in the face about every 5 years. In between when the talent was different (not what he coached) there were drop offs. I think what we are all anxious to see is how Faircloth adjusts to the talents each class brings. Early impressions are that his style is not a cookie cutter.
I'm glad you didn't take offense on my previous comments. I remember Malone, Owens, and Burnett having less than stellar seasons following a long playoff run..... -
the coaches im sure will correct his stance. at least i hope so.
Stance is fine. Even gets after it when flow goes away from him. But pops up like toast which has him in the secondary when they ran right at him or to his side.....

But overall, I was impressed with PAM's performance. Sloan needs to be coached up some. Plays too high but overall, I was impressed. The secondary hit really hard and the skill people on offense ran with authority. 100% improvement from last year.....
that's some good stuff coming from you. Glad you're back watching your team.
I never stopped. Just upset with them underachieving and I guess going from RTG to Xbox Kenny just made it worse for me. But to his credit, he had good participation over the summer, and looks like the 2 coaches hired the other day on defense are panning out.
did Viola take the Lufkin? The right side of PAM's OLine were huge. I'd try that OG on the DL with Sloan or have him go both ways.....
Can anyone explain why PNG's db's played 10 yards of the line of scrimmage the entire game. Just curious?
3-4 Shell. OLB's playing @ ILB depth and the secondary play cover 4. Keeping everything in front....

Great assessment AWW. I was there fresh from the gym. I wasn't impressed with Ozen letting a 4 kids above 3A school play them so tough. I think they will struggle again this year w/o a proven, old school, running game. That spread is for those with Olinemen with quick feet.... -
Stats from the Ozen/Kirbyville scrimmage: In 2 12-minute quarters Kirbyville 35 plays, 352 total yards 13 First downs 4 touchdowns Ozen 35 plays, 348 yds 10 First downs 4 touchdowns Other notes: Most (by by most ALOT) of Ozen's yardage came through the air. Their scores included passing plays of 71 yds, 65 yds and 86 yds. They had real trouble getting the ground game going. For Kirbyville, Ford had about 165 yds rushing, most of that came on two long runs.
That's about right Grad. I was there and all Ozen could do was pass. I asked some friends who coach @WB that when they get to 50 points next week to turn off the switch....... -
Heard after hurr.Ike alot of Ball atheletes left for TC/La Marque to finish their High School and play sports.
They had enough left to make the playoffs in 5A albeit finishing fourth......

I will submit G-Ball, although not as talented as Angleton with Griggs(I think that's his name) still keeps that district competitive because of Suggs being the coach..... After Dayton and Crosby, 19 4A is soft as drug store cotton unless Wilson gets C. E. King turned around in a hurry....
