1. Trevin Sonnier made 1st Team offense as a REC and as Utility and 1st Team Defense.  Wow!
2. I am thinking (wishing) Nederland should get rid of Neuman!
3. Twice the PANews said PA Memorial will be playing in a Quarterfinal game this weekend.  Am I missing something?  Isn't this a Regional game?  Could the PANews have made a mistake?
4.
Need to change this thread name to " CENT / PNG bonding love fest "
Looks as though we came a long way since the final game of the regular season between the two teams in 07.
5. I noticed the annoucer (from Willis) said for the Wildkats fans to stand for their school song.  I thought that was unusual.  Maybe it is not their tradition for all the fans to stand for both school songs.
6. But how about when they are pointing to their opponents and saying things to them?  They are not just there to celebrate their own team but to make fun of the other team.
7. I think the 1st ones in line tonight got there at 10 am.
8. There was not one replay (as far as I saw) at the PNG-BH game.  I also don't remember seeing any at the PNG-Ozen game.  Do they ever show any replays at the Butch?  If not, why?  Great screen but I don't ultize it as I watch the live action on the field instead of watching the screen.
9. Can the Home parking lot be reached from the Hwy 124 (Fannett Rd) side?  Or do I have to go down IH 10 to reach it?
10. I look for us (PNG) to lose Faircloth's assistants first as most coaches strive to be a head coach somewhere.  Beside what HC job could be better than the one at PNG!  Having said that, I know some of you may not agree with that last statment.
11. That site got the Houston Stratford-Brenham score backwards.  Brenham won 20 -17.
12.

Doty is a great QB i gotta go with him
He is, but that taunting he did against Vidor is ridiculous.
I watched the game on the computer, but I was never able to see that.  I guess I skipped through it somehow.
He wasn't taunting the fans but a certain someone on the Vidor sideline (who I rather not identify).
13. Will be there watching PNG-Ozen.  Is there anything special on the menu?  Or should I eat before going to the game?

15.
SORRY HOOK EM BUT 1990 WAS 27 - 0 NEDERLAND...KIP MCFARLAND WAS QB FOR NED...I WAS THERE ...OUR PLAYERS RAN THRU YOUR RUN THRU SIGN AT HALF TIME... OUR BAND PLAYED CHEROKEE ALL NIGHT....REMEMBER ?????
I don't remember what year it was but I think the Bulldogs ran through our sign before the game started.  We got the ball first and scored but then that was all we did and we lost something like 27-7.  I know after that game we had our principal and others stand by our signs so that would never happen again.
16.
Well the ref that was on the TC sideline was the one who threw 75% of the flags. One was even late and called a holding. The one in the endzone, the TC receiver was out of the endzone. The other one the ball was way uncatchable as well. He was also the first ref to try and call a safety on us when the back was down on the 1. So I think there was some lopsided officiating from that 1 ref. PNG. Lots of work on the secondary. Don't understand the soft seceondary coverage. Its been eating us alive in all 3 games. Our running game. Its ok but not like last years. Maybe rotate the backs, the running back on the JV is explosive and makes moves that loose you. I think he is a junior as well. The O line did well in pass blocking. They opened up some big holes for Bertram. Our passing game was decent. But we had alot of receivers wide open they could have thrown too several times. Last night the NDN's were their own worse enemy. To many mistakes and not executing. The one ref was terrible. As far as stunts and blitz', Faircloth is not going to show is cards during these 3 games. I know come district you will see alot of various D formations etc.  2 weeks till we open district play. Lots to work on and adjust. We will see were we really stand come 2 weeks. This is a good time to heal up some of our boys. TC is a balanced team on the offensive side of the ball. Can't say they are a great team but they are a good team and should compete very well intheir district. Congrats TC on your win last night.
Not sure how you can say the running game is just OK and not like it was last year.  I thought Harmon was a very special running back but Chase is doing great.  After all he had over 150 yards in each of the last two games.  And as for bringing up a JV player we have Grant Tatum who is a very capable runner.
17. I graduated from Port Acres HS in 61.  We weren't allow to have any water during practice.  In fact in Jr High we had two players caught drinking water during practure and they were thrown off the team.  We used to fall into the low places on the practice field and drink what we could get out of the puddles.  We were not suppose to drink Cokes, etc and the only Cokes we got during the football season was during the halftimes.  Also we had a curfew.  With Bob Frederick as our coach, we usually were in much better shape than our opponents (particularly Bishop Byrne HS which was the only team that would "go across the river" before their game - LOL).
18.
Question: On that strong red team....Did Zane Anderson Pitch; Matt Menard Catch; Zach Smith 2nd base & Mitch Hubbard play 3rd and serve as closer Pitcher? If so, know wonder they were a little stronger.  I can see this team getting 9 hits: just looking at the roster.
The 11-3 score was for the 4A-5A teams.  The players you listed are from 1A-3A teams.
19. Thursday's 4A-5A Underclassmen Game - The Red team beat the Blue team 11-3.  Red team had 9 hits and the Blue team had none.  Both team had 2 errors.  Not a lot of fans there but Vincent-Beck a great place to play!
20. There is a conflict of sort for the PNG-Ozen game scheduled for October 16 at 3:00 pm.  The Region X Marching Competition is also on October 16 which means that both bands will probably not be able to go to the football game.  I can't imagine a game without the bands.  Hopefully the schools will reschedule the game for that evening as there is no one schedule then.  Also it would not be as hot as a 3:00 game.
21. Another one of the best to come from TJ.  How did I forget to mention him!
22. injun, I think I know why the FW coach was upset.  The 1st pitch was a ball but the plate umpire motioned with his left hand toward 1st base to indicate that the ball was outside.  Usually when he called a strike he would motioned toward 1st base with his right hand.  The coach probably thought that the umpire motion indicated a strike.
23. If you are talking TJ, how could you leave off Frank Edom, Gary Hammond plus some of those big linemen from the Buckshot Underwood days?
