Historic fact - since 1964 any party going into mid-terms as a trifecta came out losing house minimum, a several times losing both. The only exception is Kennedy, Johnson....and believe it or not, Carter. They kept House and Senate at mid-terms..... So if your betting that Trump will lose the House and possibly Senate - History is on your side. If he keeps both, which in not likely, even you would have to admit it was because of Trump.......

I would have to give that some thought. But, what I cherish and miss is the after game parties that my parents and some very close friends of theirs from Jasper would host each year after the game. Dubose's and Foley's from Jasper were longtime friends of my parents and when the game was played in Jasper, one of those would host the after game party. My parents would host when it was played in Silsbee. That went on for many many years. Some really good times.

2nd round of playoffs would be the 20th. That's the Friday before that Monday the 23rd. I anticipate Silsbee to at least make the 2nd round. Even if they lose that game I don't expect too many varsity basketball players to suit up on that Monday.

AggiesAreWe, what Silsbee vs Jasper games stands out to you the most? Mine would be 1993 Silsbee lost to Jasper in Jasper. Jay McGuire had about 252 yards rushing but got hurt in the 4th qtr on that small visitors sideline at the Alamo. 2023 Game OT win by Silsbee stopping Tyanthony Smith on the 2pt conversion.

If Silsbee is still in the football playoffs, there will be plenty of seats.

But, if Silsbee is somehow still in football playoffs, this game may not be played or it will be nothing but JV players for Silsbee. Silsbee has 90% of the varsity basketball players on the varsity football team.
