  1. Vidor will get some scores, but Nederland's defense is better than last year! Vidor will not stop Ned's offense! Ned 35-14
  2. This team is looking good! They have a very good chance of finishing out on top, but like the old saying goes "one game at a time"!
  3. I was running on the track today and the field has dried up some. Two more days of sunshine and that north wind should help it even more!
  4. Coaching and building a program! Look at Nederland's football history before Neumann and now Barrow. Athlete's were the same but very different results! How many D1 football players have come out of Nederland in the last 25 years?
  5. Very proud of this team but dissapointed at the same time that it ended so soon.  Offense did well tonight, especially the passing game.  Defense played a great game also slowing down such a potent offense.  A few more plays on each side of the ball and they could have pulled this one out.  Can't wait until next year, big expectations with all the returning experience!!!
  6. Nederland had central beat last year but let it slip away.  That does not happen this year. Dog's 31-12
  7. Up north in Chicago this weekend so unable to see the game.  Sounds like I missed a good one.  Stay focused and remember, one game at a time.  Don't want these boys to overlook any teams in this district.  I was close on my prediction of Dog's 28-21.
  8. I like BH15's prediction.  Very close (24-14) on the PNG prediction!  I hope the offense keeps improving and the defense continues to roll.  Did read in the paper that Livingston's QB & big running back came out of the Central game with ankle injuries but I'm sure they will be playing Friday night.  28-21 Bulldogs!!!
  9. Some of the penalties called last night looked like bad calls on the tv replay.  The holding call on Nederland's rushing touchdown against the receiver was very questionable.  If he was holding it was inside the shoulder pads.  Defensive pass interference in the endzone was legitimate but the very next play that PNG scored there should have been offensive pass interference called because the receiver clearly pushed off.  Overall a very good game but too many penalties for each team.
  10. Nederland played WO-S at Lamar the first game.  I "assume" the schools split the gate money but Lamar received all the concession money which was "college football" prices for drinks and snacks.  For two drinks and a popcorn it was $8!
  11. I agree but the running game did pretty good against Vidor.  I would like to seem more of Colton also.  Good hands, size and hard to bring down too. Seems like he was not on the field as much against Vidor?  I feel good about what the offense can do against PNG.  I hope the defense has an answer for PNG's passing game; I feel they should be able to handle their running game.  We will see!!!!
  12. Impressed with Nederland's overall defense.  Did an outstanding job at stopping Vidor's rushing attack.  Defense has been pretty impressive for the year per points allowed.  Offense will continue to improve, passing off last night but Vidor's pass coverage was very good.
  13. Maybe not quite as fast but a good athlete and smart one to boot!
  14. The News stated Brett was having tests ran in Houston so he will most likely be out until 100% symptom free, which is good for his recovery.  Hopefully he will be back for start of district.  Korey Hopkins and Trent Fontenot listed as having MRI's done this week on their knees.  I thought Trent had an arm sling on after halftime?
