This is a bad loss for Silsbee.

Was only Lee's 2nd win of the season.

Were the football players suited up?
Yes. Everyone except Reed (QB).
Well, do tell!  What happened out there?
Silsbee was struggling big time early on but fought back in the second half but honestly it was the refs that unfortunately took this game away from Silsbee.....just too many unnecessary foul calls(2 techs) against Silsbee!!

Definately a bad loss for the Tigers.  Several areas the Tigers could have done better at to win the game.  First make more free throws.  Not sure what the count was but we missed way too many. Second too many easy buckets for Lee.  Tigers going for steal and not rotating back on defense fast enough.  Third too many missed layups and short shots.  Some of these were football players who haven't quite found there shot yet. Fourth and probably the most costly tonight were getting 2 technicals after foul calls. This alone cost us at least 5 or 6 points.  We went up by 2 in the fourth qtr get a foul call and a T,  they make 3 of 4 free throws and score on the possesion putting us back down by 5.  That is innexcusable.  These are all areas the Tigers should have controlled and got the win.

One area not controllable was the foul situation with Jordan Holmes.  He definately didn't have 4 fouls at half time but that is what the official book said.  Therefore he didn't get to play in the second half until about midway through the fourth quarter.  We have to adjust to officials calls.  We had Dante Wilson and Zayon Jackson both foul out fairly early in the fourth.  That was costly. To tell you how bad the book keeping was  when Zayon fouled out he continue to play for a possesion or two before officials were notified that he had fouled out. We also played the last few minutes with 3 or 4 players with 4 fouls which limited that Tiger defense which could have pulled this one out.

With that said all of these areas but one are areas that we have to do better.  We will be fine once these players adjust to being back on the court together but just need to work together as a team and improve in these areas.

Although I saw some questionable calls for sure,  the 2 techs weren't part of them.  You can not slam the ball to the court after receiving a foul called against you and you can't walk off running your mouth in the same situation.  Especially when you are the same player who received the first T.
I understand Danti receiving the 1st Tech. But the second was not by any means deserving for Danti!! He did not do anything worthy of that call....I don't care what anyone says but hey a win is a win and a loss is a loss! I'm still however very excited about this years team and their chances!

Actually Lee's 3rd win.  They are 3-6
Lee was not a bad team. They played smart, handled pressure well, shot lights out, and made their free throws.  Silsbee was very cold from the floor, missing a lot of short shots and lay-ups. I think Jackson somehow is even faster than last year and Holmes hit his head on the top of the gym a few times. ;D  Silsbee will be fine after a few practices.

    • We'll see. I don't trust us.
    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
