[/quote]Where do ya hunt in SL, we hunt the property North of Little Pine Island Bayou from Bevil Oaks to Pinewood, we get to it off Hiway 421, we do good yearly but are very selective on who we let hunt and what we shoot...

i've got a buddy who hunts a similar situation out there, and i know he does well.  it's nice to have a big area without much hunting pressure at your disposal.

Went for my first bow hunt of the season yesterday evening.  Saw a coyote but it wouldn't give me a shot and I wasn't about to sling a $20 arrow & broadhead at him.  Zilcch on seeing deer.  Got some pics of a good 8pt at my rifle stand.  Hope I can get a crack at him next weekend.

Had 3 does and yearlings to each side of me this morning early.  May have had a buck on his scrape about ten minutes earlier than that.  All this before having to sit through a strong thunderstorm in my pop up blind about 7:20. May have seen as many as 7 or 8 deer.
