Seems that way. GTown defeated Nederland in football playoffs, defeated Beaumont Central in basketball playoffs, and now eliminates PN-G in baseball playoffs.
Let NED and PNG drop down to 3A and see what happens.....
Bet WOS and Silsbee would have something to say about that...... :D
2. [Hidden Content] Click this link to listen to the Navasota game
3. is there anywhere i can listen/watch this game on radio or internet?
4. Is there anyway i can watch this game on my computer or iphone?
5. havent seen gilmer or the rest of them..but I cant see anyone beating Navasota. Best 3a team I personally have ever seen. I believe they would still be in it this far if they were in the 4a bracket. Loaded with Size & Speed, and they do things right. Navasota will win state.

It shows a good program and a town with good baseball players at all levels. No team in that 2a district fields better teams than Buna 1 through 9.
I agree they were good and I think Buna will do fine in 3a this year as far as there district JMO
Bridge City and Silsbee are the front runners for that district
Agreed! sorry Coug
No offense taken, I know what ya meant. Buna has competed with and even beaten majority of those 3a teams over the past 6 years...but EVERY district ballgame will be a 7 inning dogfight this year for the cougs. Buna will be an average 3a team in this district. Behind BC and Silsbee i feel Buna has a great shot at 3rd. But...so does HF, OF, and HJ. That 2a district has gotten more and more competitive over the last several years. Should be interesting to see how it plays out. As much as i hate to say it,  id say Kountze has a good shot at winning it. Dville and Hardin will make it interesting. Good luck to our former 2a opponents, Keeping my fingers crossed for next realignment. Eager to get back down to 2a  ;D
7. I have seen both teams, and im telling you...Navasota will win. They are the real deal folks. Good as it gets in 3a. If you haven't seen them, trust me they are well deserving of the #1 ranking. Athletes on both sides of the ball, in every position. On top of that they are well coached and do things right. QB is a dual threat and the passing game will be too much for WOS. I assure you Navasota's defense is no punk either. Stangs will have a tough time scoring on them. Probably the best D that WOS has faced. WOS defense will be the best Navasota has seen all year. They are fast and fly to the ball. The rattlers run game will be limited by the Stang D. Fortunately for them, they pass more than run.  With that being said,  WOS has enough athletes to pull off the upset...but they will need to force a few turnovers and play very well on offense to win. Will be interesting to see Nav O vs WOS D. They will represent 21-3a well. From an unbiased opinion on what I have seen.. Its close through two quarters, then the Rattlers pull away in the 2nd half. Navasota 38 WOS 14
8. havent seen lamarque. traditionally they are a powerhouse i know, But having watched Navasota last week...I cant see anyone stopping them. I would like to see the team who does. I have never seen a 3a team with that much size and talent. Calling it...Navasota will win state. wouldnt surprise me if it was uncontested.
9. got to see this kid at the ned game. I was astonished when I saw dayton lining up for a 48 yrd field goal instead of going for it. This guy has a BOOT and will be kicking on sundays.
10. Im new to the duck business. Went this past weekend and killed a few. Anybody have any good methods on ways to prepare/cook duck, and how to get the gamey taste out?
11. Glenn Roberts for offense Linebacker #41 for WOS for defense
12. Going to Toledo this weekend. Heard the ducks are there its just crowded with hunters.
13. Anybody have any luck so far this Duck season? Whered ya go, what did ya kill, and whats the outlook on this season?
14. I really think Orangefield can take this one. BC struggled early with the slot T offense against Buna. However, they also made great adjustments to stop it. Orangefield runs the offense well and their D isnt too bad either. Orangefield will score. If the D can hold up to the passing game of BC, I think the Bobcats take this one. Should be a good one. OF - 35 BC - 28
15. every time I pass by the stadium I swear I always see someone working on the field. lol watering, mowing, fertilizing,  painting stripes or something. It didnt seem bad when Buna played there other than it looked like holes were filled with sand. But admittedly Reed looked even faster throwing up a 5 foot rooster tail of sand behind him  ;D

If so I can see why it gets in bad shape at the end of the season.
All Silsbee ISD games are played at Tiger Stadium. Varsity, JV, freshmen, 8th A and B, 7th A and B.
Thats way to many games on the same field. The most cost effective thing would be to build a small stadium for under classmen! jmo
Almost every 3a and under school plays every game on the same field for all levels. Only ones who dont are when the jr high plays on the old high school fields once a new school is built
19. Another question for Newton...I saw where a WOS poster listed stats for this years team compared to previous years. This years team has most points scored and least points allowed. So compared to state championship years it looks like they're on pace for another. Just curios as to how this Newton team ranks compared to the previous state championship years. I'm sure its close if not better. Anybody have any stats?
20. And if you watch the tailgate party he slung quirante down about 5 yards already into the endzone. Don't know why you would be proud of yourself for getting scored on and outran by the QB.? Put that on the highlight film for mack

23. Amen, one of the main purposes of athletics in high school are to teach life lessons. In the real world, nobody is gonna let up or give you anything because they feel sorry for you. In life and in football, if youre getting your butt handed to you, you need to learn to suck it up, deal with it, and move on. learn something from it. Too many people in this world today are worried about making sure no ones feelings are hurt. Thats life folks. Ive had my fair share of butt whippings and dealt out quite a few also. And I was never embarrased or hurt when we got slaughtered. I think the fans and parents are bothered more than players. Im not saying throw hail mary's when youre up by 50..but if your any kind of competitor the last thing you want is for someone to take it easy on you. punching someone in the pile = bad sportsmanship old fashioned butt whoopin = someone needs to get better  ;D
