I say move the Girls and Boys Basketball Tournament to the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. The metro plex is growing down there, and I'm pretty sure they got more nicer venues, and better arena's.

If they were to move it, I say move it to San Antonio. More hotels there than Austin.

I'm not sure what "more nicer venues they got" you are referring to but the state championships need to stay in Austin.  If you are competing for a state championship in Texas, you need to compete for it in the capitol of the state - Austin!

Unless there is a change of scheduling I think it should be.

I say rotate Houston (Toyota Center), Dallas (Amerian Airlines Center) and San Antonio (AT&T Center)

Good idea.  I would love to see it just stay in Houston,  for distance only.

Yes, but let's not abondon tradition all together; leave Austin in the rotation.

[/quote] There was a big push from the San Antonio CVB about 15 years ago to move it to the AlamoDome. They came to Austin, wined & dined the UIL brass to no avail. I don't think Houston is the answer.

Trying to inject a little of the Silsbee-HJ feud in here, but you knew that already.

No offense but SxSW is ALOT bigger than state economically speaking.

Why wouldn't they consider changing the dates of it?...The State tournament is a Texas tradition...I am sure it would be beneficial for all parties involved.

I shouldve written "you don't know what my intentions were." I didn't realize that people could be so sensitive.

Leave it alone dude. The games are over, sadly both teams lost..

Leave the tournament in Austin.
