Sounds like you might think they are not particularly skilled at SMRJs?
Maybe not since the Dunkometer overheated in the first period.
From reading all the remarks about the game, it sounded as though they mostly shot layups.

Yates hit 11 three pointers last night to go along with those layups and dunks.
Any SMRJ's?
They scored 125 points. Yates had their share of SMRJ's.
Nash, they can score with their shooting. Welcome to 3-A Yates!

In the first game last night between Houston Washington and Houston Reagan, Reagan reminded me a lot of Silsbee. Fast, quick and athletic, with relentless man to man defensive pressure, but on the small side. Reagan defeated Washington last night after trialing at the half 32-17.

Reagan was in the same district as Yates, finished runner up to Yates.

Yates beat Reagan in district 92-60, 110-40. ;)

Wheatley got hit by a buzzsaw last night!! Yates was clicking on all cylinders, and from the looks of it will be the region 3 rep in Austin again...Unless, they have to face Nederland... ::) ::).

Yates would beat EVERY team in this area RIGHT NOW worse than that.....ESPECIALLY the ones with all of this "intellectual" basketball brain power.... ::) ::)...They might put 70 or 80 on them!! 8)
Yates would have had more dunks than hj had points!!
My thoughts EXACTLY! ;D ;D
Absolutely and unequivocally no doubt about that.  I belive the final score would have been 244-5
Would they score 5 points against them? I was thinking their intellectual ability would be worth 4!! ;D ;D 8)

yates sure is fielding a pretty good looking college team this year...
Tell you what bullets, given the appearance across the board of that Lions team, I would have been asking for some birth certificates if I were the opposing coach! ;D ;D ;D
Heres what you will find out about many players who are getting a lot of press. Yates players included. Most have always been older and not in their right grades. Some parents hold their kids back, while others may have failed at an early age AND had late birthdays. By high school, it really doesn't make too much a difference. But 5th year seniors is kinda pushing it for schools like Trenton and Findley Prep.
After watching the highlights (thanks AAW) this is a fact not an opinion. If #12 is Swift, then he is as much of a high school sophmore as I am and I'm pushing 40. Maybe he should be a junior but senior is more likely. What an embarassment for Texas high school athletics. I would really like to see the UIL continue to crack down on these acts in an effort to reward all those student athletes out there that do it the right way in the classroom and on the court.

I stand corrected because I know I dont have the intellectual capacity to quantify such a situation like you do.

Don't worry, its a inherited trait that many people do not possess.... ;D ;D

Corrected intellectual translation:  Don't worry, it's an inherited trait that many people do not possess.

    • We had the same type of rules when Coach Stone was at PNG.
    • I’m curious to see if this will happen next season .
