IMO they rank the same as far as the head coach goes but I do feel that Ozen has a better staff of assistant coaches (at least 2 of them)....now if we could just combine all of that with the talent we do have it would be a different story lol

Better staff of ASSISTANT coaches?? :o....What determines that in your opinion? Central will get them at Central....This game is usually an emotional one, but as AAW called it last night, its the "undercard" game these days, sadly enough.  Its unreal, how both of those programs have changed over the last 3 or 4 years.

Just from what I've seen with my own eyes, I've had the [b]pleasure[/b] of watching all 3 levels play. I don't think that just because one coaches football or soccer or baseball or tennis means they have to coach basketball. I can't speak on the experience of Central's coaches as far as basketball is concerned so I can only give my opinion. I do feel that the ASSISTANT coaches (not the stat man, another body on the bench or his uncle, brother, cousin, etc) at Ozen knows quite a bit about basketball from experience although it may not be heard by higher authority. Just watching some of the assistant coaches is comical to say the least.

I saw it coming too. They played with intensity last Tuesday, and sounds like it carried over to tonight's game as well.
Going to say it 100 times; Ned MUST stay hungry and NOT relax with a 2 game lead with 6 to play. Keep the undefeated district streak alive!!

Now watching last night's game, MY opinion still doesn't change. As far as coaching goes, yelling at a player in a timeout is not coaching. I don't remember seeing anything out of Central's coaches after warmup until they called timeout. The only time I remember them getting up was for a timeout. Now Ozen's coach walked back and forth and talked to his players on and off the court quite a bit, not sure if that was for show or not. I also saw the assistant coaches for Ozen talk to their particular group of kids during timeouts to address certain things. I may be a little biased because my son goes to Ozen but anybody who knows me knows that I am not too keen on all of the coaching staff. To say the least I was shocked at Ozen's coaching staff last night. We still have a ways to go but I can say I didn't lose much sleep last night lol.
