east texas bb
Individually, 70 percent is above average, 80-90 excellent, 60-70 average, below 60 is poor. As a team, I would say 70-80 is superior, 60-70 is what a good team will shoot, and teams below that will be consdiered either not very good, or struggling at the time. Tonight in WOS they shot 58%. I saw another comment about not shooting them well tonight. I know as fans we feel that way in many games. But I haven't really paid a lot of attention to the percentages of many schools. What is considered a decent percentage for a good high school team. My thinking has been that it wouldn't be a whole lot better than that 58% just because you are dealing with high school kids. Granted you could see some good percentages for individuals and the percentages could be skewed on some teams by a few players more involved in the game and therefore shooting more free throws.
C'mon ST413, let's let them have their excuse. ;) ;D
Our only excuse is that we lost to a superior team.
That's not what "some" of the HJ fans have been stating. ;)bmrm, nice comment.
I'm full of 'em - amongst other things!
