YMBL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME-NORTH SHORE VS. NEDERLAND/NS WINS 53-43!!!

Congrads, Big Ned!  I have a totaly different view on you now for making it to the championship game and competing with a very good North Shore team.  You are the defending district champs and it showed.  The road to district will go through Nederland once again.  Good luck in your tourney.  I hope my Jags are paired up with you in the Nederland tourney. 

I've got a chance to see this North shore team today.  They are well coached.  Coach Green sure have those boys looking like a well oiled machine.  This North Shore team will no doubt be in for a district championship and a deep playoff run, IMO.

Great tournament Dawgs. Nothing to hang Ur head about. NS has a very good team. Every time y'all made a run, NS had an answer( sign of an great team, IMO). Get some rest and get prepared for the Bulldog Classic next weekend!!

I am a believer now!! I was pretty hard on Nederland after the HJ game but this is a different team now, playing much better basketball. They will in the mix for the 20-4A district title and maybe even the favorite.

Had some mixed feelings about this game and who to really pull for. (of course I was very unbiased in my broadcast ;) ;D). Nederland was our local team but the coach for North Shore, David Green, well he and I go way back to when we played on the same Little League baseball team in Silsbee. David and I went to school together in Silsbee and are good friends. Always love seeing him do well.

This game was played by two very well coached teams. It was a pleasure to broadcast.

The HJ game was not their best effort, but they have obviously worked on some things, bc they are playing like a completely different team. Didn't hear the broadcast since I watched it live, so i trust you there!  ;)

Dove, it's really too bad Ozen isn't playing well right now. Then maybe you could spend more time singing their praises and less time being so critical of other teams. My advice would be to start following that Ozen girls team....they are GOOD.

Great showing by the Dogs.  They seem to be growing in every game.  I thought they were a little bit intimidated last night.  The games I have seen so far remind me of Jordan Pitts' class first two years on Varsity.  They seem to play to the level of their opponent and live and die by the three....One of the players likes to showboat a little bit after he makes a three but doesn't realize his overall percentage from behind the arc isn't that great.  Needs to just play and go inside more.  I saw ego ruin a couple of players from reaching their full potential by their senior year.  It's a growth thing that hopefully comes with experience.  Overall this team should be in contention for the district title this year.

I have noticed that same showboating also.  I believe it is counter productive and serves as a motivator for the opposition
