If silsbee can't pass the ball effectively or protect the QB they won't win this game. Huffman's run D is the strength of this team. They held the best rushing attack in the area (coldspring) to limited yards, and held Gilbert to negative yards through the 2nd quarter. Huffman's O didn't give the D much help in the game, and you can't give a team like coldspring that many chances.

Huffman has 22.5 sacks this season, so silsbee better be able to protect the passer once they have to start passing. Townley has had a bit of a pic problem averages 1 a game, but idt that will be a big issue in this game.

One thing I have noticed is that it seems like silsbee has multiple players playing both ways, including thier QB, Huffman dosent. The Huffman O isn't as potent.and dosent have the quick strike capabilities of last year, but it is plenty good. They will spread you out and carry sustained drives down the field. Will this tire out silsbee's two way players? Has silsbee played a team this year that didn't have multiple two way players?

I think Huffman wins this game. With the QB issues silsbee has I just don't think they will be able to move the ball effectively.

Huffman 35 silsbee 14

FYI, Silsbee has one player that plays both ways on a regular basis.

Silsbee will not be able to run very much on Huffman. I was very impressed with the run D against CS. If Townley has any time at all it will be a long night for Silsbee. But Huffman needs to work on those dropped passes. They could have scored at least 2 tds on CS. They were very close. Go Falcons! CS is rooting for you!

If Silsbee cant score more than 15 on orangefield, they will be in for a long night against Huffman.. I hate to look at scores from other games but.. it is, what it is.. just going of a team i have seen played which is orangefield and I was not impressed at all.. How did Silsbee only manage 15 points on them?

49-3 Huffman Vs Cleveland  44-13 Silsbee Vs Cleveland  This should be a good game.

Or, one could look at the Huffman 35-0 win over HJ and Silsbee's 54-7 win over HJ. ;)

Or you could look at Huffman's 41-10 win over HF compared to Silsbee's 24-6 win ;)

I do not see a blowout like some of you Huffman folks are predicting. ;)

Maybe if comparing other games held any water, but they don't. How one team does against another dosent have any correction to this game. Which is why I didn't bring up other scores until someone else did.

With silsbee's passing struggles I just don't see them winning, even if reed is ready to go. Niether Drake or reed have passed the ball well and silsbee's running attack is going to struggle. The teams that will beat Huffman are ones who can throw it or teams like coldspring that have outstanding Defenses. Idt silsbee is either one.

I will stay with my prediction of 35-14. Silsbee will stuggle on O and won't be able to keep the Huffman O off the field.

Silsbee's defense can play when they need to Silsbee had 6 turnovers against bridge city and still only gave up 6 points yeah they lost but through the first half they held bridge to negative 5 yards  in the first half and penalties kept them from winning late so Huffman better not sleep on the tigers sometimes they play basic ball against some teams to keep some things off of film they know Huffman was at Hampshire fannet on Friday but they will open up the playbook Saturday against Huffman trust me. Good luck to both team.

I wasn't impressed from what I saw of Huffmans D. I think Silsbee will move fine on them. just gotta get the flow goin.
[/quote]

WASNT IMPRESSED???????? They gave up 20 points to CS and spent most of the night on the field. They slowed down that monster running attack allowing Gilbert 1 and it was late. LOL Silsbee will move the ball fine is correct..............backwards. This game will not be close. Wasnt impressed? What game did you watch that you were not impressed with?

    • Starting pitching has been shaky the last few weeks due to some injuries outside of Hagen Smith.  He goes tomorrow, so y’all should be fine
    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
    • See why I don't trust my Hogs?
    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
