BHFAN, ain't it great to be amongst the unbeaten while coming through the final stretch....  It makes the season a lot more fun!
And the point difference between what we have scored minus points allowed is 129. Liv. comes in next at 112, and png at 85. I don't have the stats on the other 194A teams. I would like to know the pt. differential in Day's games?

It is fun, but man this district is boring :o Can't wait for the next two week's to be over, so we can get back to some of the better teams in our district. Last two games will be GCM and Crosby for us! I'll trade any of the undefeated seasons BH has had though for a playoff run! We havn't been past round 2 since 99' and have never ventured into the 2nd roudn of the 4A playoffs, but we have been dang close! Each time missing the win by a TD or less!

More important than records and game plans, when the kids come off the field for doing something good, they are met by numerous coaches hugging and high-fiving them for encouragement.  When you do something wrong, you get coached, not yelled at from 20-yards away with no point in your sarcasim.

Point being, the days of Don Price are thankfully LONG GONE.  I have yet to see a kid walk past the coach ignoring him, as would happend every game when Price was here.

Give me an AMEN!
Cha-Ching....guess dem fellars over at da hill, were rite after all. Just sayin ! AMEN !!!!!!
Coach Price was aloof from the players and inaccessible to the parents. He coached a game from 30yds down the sideline from the players. I think he was burned out the last couple of years he was here and was just giong through the motions. His teams won because for the most part he had good coaches working for him and the dedication of the kids to work hard.
Coach Gage brought in a new crop of young coaches with a lot of enthusiasm. Coach Bruce Taylor stayed with BH and no one has more enthusiasm than him. Coach Gage did the right thing by retaining Bruce. Gage  is not only a motivator but a very good technician of the game. Play calling, execution of the clock, etc. He is the real deal. He is also very friendly and accessible to the parents. BH is blessed with a great senior class of players this year also. There may be some drop off next year but coach Gage will find a way to win. He is building the program from the bottom up. He also plays the 2nd string when we have a comfortable lead which gives those boys experience and keeps everyone happy. Price never did that. He would play the starters until the last play even when winning by a huge margin. Our quarterback, Chris Daniels, tore his ACL late in the 4th quarter one year and lost a full ride scholarship to rice. We had a big lead in that game when it happened. We are lucky to have Coach Gage and all he brings to the team and school district.
Couldn't have said it better.. You are 100% correct! Gage actually has "people skills" and can relate to the kids for more than just being football players...Wish my 2 could have played for him.

I'm so tired of hearing all of this talk about Price and Gage.  Football coaches aren't hired to have good people skills or to high five people coming off the sidelines.  They are hired to win and set an example for young men to follow.  Price did that better than most and Gage is doing a good job of it now for the most part.

Ive never seen Bill Belichek chest bump a player coming off the field.....does that make him less of a coach than Rex Ryan who does it all the time??  He'll no it doesn't. Coaches are asked to lead by example and win. Just because it didn't fit your style of coach doesn't make him/her a bad coach. Price had 95% of the high school athletics winning district championships.  That speaks for itself. Who gives a flip if he wasn't a great PR guy?? This isn't college athletics where you have to sell yourself to the BCS and recruit kids from all over the country. Price did a great job in all sports and Gage is picking up where he left off. They both have been successful in their own styles. Just leave it alone and talk about the present.

CE King is up next and I know Gage will have his boys ready to roll and put it on the Panthers.  Let's go get it Eagles!  I'd much rather talk about the young men on the field pouring their guts out every Friday night.  Bring the wood tomorrow BH!

We can tell from the two ranting paragraphs above ;) I have a bunch a crap I could throw on the fire, but as I have said before I don't give a crap! No reason to discuss anything but BH 's future with Coach Gage and it is looking bright!I have also said in the past that BH will always be competitve becasue of the support the community gives them! It starts in Kindergarden when the teachers at BH instill Eagle Pride in evey child at BH! I have been in this community since the 70's and there is just nothing like it! BH Pride its not about a current or past coach it's about the blue and white baby 8)

It really is a shame that we can't just let it go. What's wrong with moving forward and getting behind all BH sport's programs looking towards the future. The people who bring these issues up know the controversy it causes and yet they continue to do so.

To be honest, I think most if not all are happy with the current staff. So if all involved are truly interested in only promoting BH sports, why would some keep stoking a fire that really just needs to burn out. Let's get behind the Eagles and let them focus on the task at hand. And that would be (borrowing the phrase):

[move]DONKEY STOMPING THE PANTHERS[/move]

I am not sure what it would look like but if the Eagles are doing it... It would have to be fun!  :D
When your kid is playing every game is precious. The playoffs are just a bonus. Because when the season is over, it's over forever, and all we are left with is our memories.
I'll venture... Ummmm no! KP and Dayton should be thanking Brenham for more than the win last season... With all the hype of Brenham losing. KP playing Dayton last season got alot of photo opts. One being maxpreps..<---- had a pic of Dayton losing to Friendswood forever on there.. now it's Dayton beating KP who beat the powerful Brenham Cubs...  ;)

I have a brother and plenty of family friends that played for both an no theres not. Had/have friends on both staffs too. Two different styles with similar results so far. You don't see it that way because you choose not too. I'm done talking about the past. Gage is doing a hell of a job in the PRESENT.
