People who sit there and talk and complain about how they know better then the coaches when they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about.

I agree here wholeheartedly...it drives me nuts to listen to people complain, especially when they don't have a clue

Losen up, man.  Those are no cadets.  They are football players.  Everyone gets excited on the breakdown part of the national anthem.  Some people clap, some people sing louder.  They slap shoulder pads.
No need to loosen up, it is simply an observation and an opinion.  I feel it is disrespectful and you don't.  No skin off my nose.

They are showing respect.  The players begin slapping shoulder pads after the 'o' the land of the free!' part.  That's the equivalant of an exciting hand clap, which you would get anywhere else the National anthem is sung or played.  I find nothing wrong with that.  The are still standing there with their helmets off and faced toward the flag.
Let them tell that to the Drill Sergeant when they get to basic training.  I'm sure it will go over just fine.
I told that to my Drill Sergeant and he told me he used to do the same thing in high school.

The Band at Halftime; Fans that constantly complain; When it rain; people who dont honor the Anthem or other teams school song; That dang ol Umbrella song MHS Band play (Bad omen);when the crowd doesnt get involved  in crucial momemts of the game. Most of all I cant stand to see players looking into the stands when they should be paying attention to whats going on or supporting their team mates.

If any way possible, I am going to attend the fist Huffman game I can. I saw you guys at Lamar, vs. Silsbee last year, and unfortunately, I did not see her I guess. Is she on YouTube? Anyhow, I want to see this. BTW, I'm bringing the camcorder!

Yeah, those things get annoying if they play them too much.  CS has one and while I don't mind it on the touchdowns it gets on my nerves when it is played too much and too long.

I got another one. When a player or a group of players are always trying to talk to the ref when they have a penalty against them or there team. And they are always doing it. That really annoys me. I mean I could understand you talking to him about one or two penalties that were questionable but every single call, that just gets old.

All the kids going back and forth.  I counted...on the last home game we had 4 kids that went by us 5 times, 5 I tell you, before halftime.  They tried a sixth time and I said you have been by here 5 times, you will have to find another route or wait until the game is over.  They never came back our way!!!  I am sure the parents were not happy with me.

1. No high school kids in the stands cheering. Most larger schools have student body groups going crazy in the stands. Faces/body painted, dressed up, standing up the whole game, the works.  Dayton has none. What's up with that?

2. The same old tired pre-game routine. Cheerleader introductions (way too many by the way), school songs, run through sign, anthem, play. The same thing for the last 50 years! Don't get me wrong, I like all that stuff but can we spice it up somehow? Imagination people! I have some ideas if the DISD admin. wants to contact me.  ;D

    • Manchin may get it but any mention of the radical left that wanted to get rid of the filibuster and end almost 220 years of history because the Democrats are mad?  The House and Senate are obviously different legislative bodies with entirely different election processes and rules for a reason. The House can vote on laws with a simple majority vote. The Senate put rules in place that it would make it much tougher to pass laws. Laws should be difficult to pass. The Senate is often the holdup of the right and left. It takes 60 votes to break the filibuster so any law will almost certainly require agreement at least in part, from opposing sides of an issue. Because they can’t get laws passed, the radical left is like a baby having a tantrum and wants to change over 200 years of history and make it potentially ridiculously easy to pass laws. I have seen current poll maps and it is possible for the Republicans to sweep into complete power in November but by the tiniest margin. That would possibly mean that a single vote margin in both houses could enact what you might call the radical right laws. There would be nothing that the Democrats could do to stop any legislation whatsoever if the left (they are all radical, minus Manchin) got their filibuster rule changed.  That is where the current filibuster comes into play as any new law would require several Democrats to agree with the majority Republicans and vice versa.  Do you want the potential for your radical right to have free rein as the radical left wants by killing the filibuster or is the radical left just as (if not more) dangerous? Let’s see if we have a history in this area? Oh yeah, the Democrats changed the rules in the Senate to allow federal judges to not have to overcome the filibuster. Obama was not getting his federal judge nominations passed and being angry, they changed the rules instead of nominating more moderate justices. They were warned that it would come back to bite them. They didn’t care and chose the nuclear option to change the rules. Oops! Any guess how Trump got all of his Supreme Court nominees passed against strong Democrat opposition? The Democrats got rid of the filibuster for federal judges after another tantrum   So when you are so worried about the radical right, are you equally concerned in what the radical left is always doing by changing rules and history which were put into place just for situations like we are in? So while Manchin gets it, what about his other 50 colleagues (49 + Harris)?  What concerns you more, Abbott and Paxton or the Democrats who want to make it to where if the Republicans do take over, they can go wild… at least in your mind?
    • MODS please remove that ISD twitter link! I had no idea it would copy the whole posting. I only highlighted the portion about the venue change. Sorry about that!
    • See why I don't trust my Hogs?
    • Come on dude, don’t take anything away from the kids on the field. If you want to talk uncharacteristic, we made what 3 or 4 errors in game one. Y’all had 2 EARNED runs.  Defense is normally our strong suit. Your ace didn’t strike out a single one of our kids. Like I said also, you did not out hit us in game 1. Hell you barley out hit us in game 2. We had all the uncharacteristic walks. Josh pitched a hell of a game is what made that game what it was.
