1. Looks like the only change for Coldspring was losing Madisonville and picking up Huffman. Is that right?
 2. Just got home.  What a game.  CS did an awesome job but the Texans were simply too much.  Their quarterback has a cannon for an arm! Bring the trophy home Wimberley.
 3.
Well after 3 weeks of reading about how great WOS is and his post about how we were going to get beat by a truly better team I couldnt help myself. Sorry, read the previous 39 pages and maybe u will understand where I am coming from.
Yeah, I've read all the pages.  I've seen the smack talk from both sides but when the game is done be as gracious a winner as you would be a loser and .... Dissing band?!  I've been to almost every CS game for the last 4 years because of band.  Those kids are dedicated and put in as much time (and more) as the football team does.  Ever watch the players on the field when the band pumps them up with Laffy Taffy or ESPN?  Or how about Jaws? I may be an outlier on the board but I think the games would be seriously different without the bands supporting the teams on the field.  How boring are the CS kickoffs when the band is moving down onto the field for half time and can't play Jaws?  Even the fans expect it and still do the gator chomp, it fires up the team.
 4.
vp32 how stupid do u feel u must have been in the band
WOS did a great job tonight and this is about the dumbest post I've seen on this site. Not only are you being an ungrateful winner you are dissing band?  Really?
 5. Wow, what a game.  Congratulations on a great season WOS!  The respect each team showed to the other was great to watch.  #43 for WOS is an absolute HOSS!  I think he carried half the Trojans 15 yards at one point. WOS has some speed and if many of them are coming back next year WOS is going to be the team to beat. The absolute only problem I had with the game was at the very end and maybe I just don't understand but when there is slightly over a minute left on the clock and you are 22 points behind ... why would you not just take a knee and end the game?  I know NO ONE wants to quit but why put the kids in danger of being injured at the tail end of a game that can not be won?  The WOS fans were awesome!  We had them roll down the windows as they drove past and congratulate us on a game well played and wish us well on the next game. Classy.
 6.
I reiterate: WOS    17 CS        7 Bank on it!!!!
Whoops.  AAW you made a typo.  Here, let me fix it for you; CS    17 WOS    7 There ya go.  All better now.
 7.
If the stangs ever get up by more then 7 points Coldsprings can kiss it goodbye the defense goes into a rage when ever the offense puts points up.. those kids play with so much heart ad swagger I dont believe Coldsprings will know what hit them
You're probably right.  I doubt CS has ever seen/played a team as good as WOS ...  Hope the rest of the WOS team feels the same way. 8)
 8. I don't think Crockett has the team this year they've had for the last 2 but I have to pull for them.
 9.
lets NOT TALK past history lets talk about friday and coldsprings beating wo-s like a drum
If WOS focuses on Sherman Gilbert alone, as has been alluded to in this thread, then yes, CS will beat WOS like a drum. I seriously doubt WOS is dumb enough to overlook the rest of the team but it is a little discouraging to see the posts saying Sherman is the only player CS has.
 10.
your passing game isnt beating anyone.
We actually had a better passing game earlier in the year than we have now.  I don't know what's happened but it is what it is. We also had a better kicking game earlier in the year.  That kind of changed after the game with Cleveland.  I don't know if it is a knee injury still bothering #75, Greg, or if there is a little trepidation about another late hit.
 11.
you got it pal YOU KNOW he is your (GO TO)GUY all any one needs to look at is what he had done in the playoffs
Actually I was being facetious.  If WOS keeps their eyes on Gilbert only, they will be beat like a drum.  I like Sherman, he's a great player but I think the rest of the team gets seriously overlooked on the board.  If any team overlooks CS as a whole they are going to lose and lose big.  CS has a lot of talent in many different areas and they will be overlooked at your own risk.
 12.
Nope. His statement was that "cs didn't score more points than wos did on Cleveland or bc." You're right about Cleveland, but WO-S DID score more points on Bridge City. He didn't say ANYTHING about margin of victory. Essentially, CS was one big run away from a tied ballgame at the end of regulation against Bridge City. WO-S's kicker has made several from 40+ this year.
Whoa.  Wait a minute.  If WOS only beat BC by 5 then WOS was a 'one long run away from a LOSS rather than a tied game in regulation.
 13.
I know WOS will mostly focus on Gilbert but they need to realize that there is also another good which is Monroe as well. They cannot focus on Gilbert only. They will have to work and stop both of them. Just my two cent.
Nope.  Gilbert is the only one WOS needs to watch.  The rest of the team sux, don't pay them any attention. ;D 8)
 14.
this is going to be a fun week lol alot of trash talk  and i just love it. coldsprings have you got your  rooms yet there for the big dance if not you better hurry are someone else might take your rooms
It's ok.  CS is close enough to Dallas to drive back that night.  Even carrying a State Trophy!
 15.

Friday night 7:30pm at Turner Stadium in Humble
Yea baby.  Right down the road from my house in Kingwood! Trojans by 7.
Trojans by 8.  Pay attention. ;D
 16. Ditto what everyone else has said.  I like the fact Lorena comes over to hear the school song played.  They did that when they won against us and they did it last night too.  Very class act.
 17.

Great teams overcome adversity and thats what this team continues to do.
True but we need to stop contributing to some of that adversity ;)
You ain't kiddin' there.  Both teams played very well and played hard but CS defense definitely won that game for us.  Too many interceptions thrown and too many fumbles. Great game overall but the offense better get serious about keeping the ball and making the points when they have the chance.
 18.
Sry but CS will not get to Arlington this yr.
Are you saying BC was a horrible team?  Jeezus.  I hope CS doesn't realize just how bad BC was.  I've been gone for over a week but this is a very disappointing thread for SETX.
 19.
Aggie when did this board get so many Huffman fans.
When they played CS, The #1 team in the state and held them to 20 points. Yeah, Huffman is going to be kicking Sislbee back to far east Texas. Silsbee might be good but Huffman is better.  Since 22-3A is a much stronger district than  21-3A what other conclusion can be reached?  8)
 20. If you think Cleveland is weak you may be in for quite a surprise.  I know a lot of folks didn't agree with me when I said they played Coldspring hard but I think they may have changed their mind if they are from Liberty.
 21. Naw.  Silsbee ain't running over Huffman.  Huffman is going to move on to the next game. Go Falcons!
 22.
What I saw Cleveland has a pretty good kicker
Yes they do and so does Huffman.
 23.
Pick you a winner, you have a 50-50 chance.
Great post until you got to that part. It should have read; Pick you a winner, if you pick CS you have an 85% chance. ;D
 24.
I think wimberley might face a tougher team of Devine. They are undefeated.
From what I've read on this thread the fact that you're undefeated doesn't mean much other than you must be in a weak district. :P
 25.
Boy you guys were proud to beat Kirbyville last season for the first time ever :)
Out of all the games we played last year (Coldspring) the Kirbyville game was my favorite.  That was an AWESOME game.  Nail biter to the end. Kirbyville was a powerhouse last year and I know CS was really worried about that game.  You could tell the boys were really nervous when that game started.  I was hoping for that match up again this year but .... maybe next year!
