1. I have not seen Silsbee play but I've seen Huffman.  All I can say is Silsbee better bring their A game! I'm taking Huffman by 2! Go Falcons!!
 2.
Who has Coldsprings played and dang, should we even show up they are so good?
I would say ... yeah, go ahead and show up.  No one wants to win from a forfeit. ;D
 3. If my math is right CS finished District play with; 550 points scored 67 points allowed That looks like pretty good defense to me.  I don't know how many of those points were scored against the secondary though.  That's in 10 games.
 4.
That was Moose and he was Loose.
That kid is really fast for his size.  He was on Sherman Gilbert like white on a paper plate until the 3rd or 4th quarter when Sherman put a move on him and he slipped down. Great player.
 5.
Yes, they re going to have the best game of their lives and beat you by 7. Sorry to let you know.
LOL!
 6.
Prayers for #12 Jay Trapp and family. I am surprised... if that was a worry at the time why they did not stabilize the neck. That was scary the way he basically passed out while being helped off the field and that was the quietest I have ever heard the stands (u could have heard a fly take a crap) until he moved his legs and arms.  God Bless you Jay and I hope all turns out well.
When I talked to Jay's dad last night he told me their original assessment was a concussion but they moved on to thinking it was a stinger.  Either way I think if you suspect any type of head injury then more care should be given to the neck. Jay was walking straight towards me when he went down and it scared the crap out of me.  I saw his eyes roll up when he went down.
 7. I've been told that Jay is undergoing surgery and will be (or already is) in a halo. Prayers out to the Trapp family.  I can't imagine being in a halo for your senior year.  I spent 2 months in a halo and I can tell you they are absolutely no fun.
 8. Very good game from both sides tonight.  Congratulations on your season Liberty! Unfortunately it sounds like CS #12 Jay Trapp may have broken some bones in his neck.  He may possibly be facing some surgery.  I'm sure the family would appreciate any prayers you may throw their way.
 9. I was just looking back through the old thread here on the game.  Looks like it was a 31 point win and the first half was a tougher half than I remember.  I may be confusing that game with Columbus.  They are both Cardinals.
 10.
Bridge City may not have won their district, but I would rule them out of making it a good football game. The normally play really good football. plus they bring their hole town to the game and keep the kids in the game and pumped up, I know Coldspring brings the town too, but there dis a difference between the 2 and Coldspring fans you know what I mean. I hear more griping out of alot of the fans than I do support for the team. JMO
Unless Bridge City has gotten a lot better than last year CS will make short work of them.  I think we beat them by 40+ last year but I don't remember the actual score.
 11.
No, there are no byes in 3A Football.
Thanks.  I couldn't remember if we had any time off last year.
 12. Does CS get a bye the first round of playoffs or will we not know that until after Friday?
 13.
Are we talking about the same refs that blew a CS player down on a clear fumble and recovery by Huffman? Not to mention that CS scored their first 8 points on that drive. So since you are now +8 with these horrible officials, how many points did they cost you by no-calls?
I figured someone would've answered this by now but since they haven't I guess I'll have to; 72 8) ;D
 14. I'm glad this one is at home.  I see a lot of traveling in Coldspring's future .... again!
 15.
LOL it was gr8! I celebrated my seniors son last home game! It was a gr8 game defensively. Huffman must of had the ball 8 times in the red zone and didnt punch it in. Impressed with CS defense! Good luck in the playoffs! Again, my celebration was with my sons last home game! BTW i can take it! Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Congratulations!  My son was in the band and had been since 6th grade.  He just graduated in June but came to every game until the end of September and played with the band.  He left for the Army on October 3rd. I couldn't be more proud. Good luck to your son in whatever he decides to do!
 16. Great game by both teams.  The Huffman announcer needs to learn that #8 Colton Monroe is not #1 Sherman Gilbert.  I don't know how many times he attributed the run to Sherman Gilbert when it was in fact Colton Monroe carrying the ball. Good job Huffman, you brought your A game and both teams needed that workout!
 17.
If you go to maxpreps and look at the stats from last year you'll see that Coldspring was regularly putting up 40-50 pts a game...(40+ pts 2 times and 50+ pts 5 times)...In the playoffs they had 2 more 40+ pt games and another 50+ pt game)...It's not as if they just started scoring lots of points... *edited for brevity*
This is a very well thought out post!  If I could add karma to you I would but I evidently haven't posted enough. I've been to every single CS game for the last 3 years and I've watched this team mature to where they are right now.  It has been an incredible journey for the team and the town. Out of all the teams I've watched (and it has only been teams CS has played) I've seen none who have the talent CS has.  The games seem really lopsided (because they are) but it is not due to CS running up the score. It has been kind of interesting to watch the threads here where each team has their base fan base posting saying "CS just hasn't seen OUR team yet" then after it is done to see follow up posts saying "We weren't expecting that level of play." CS has been absolutely blessed with an abundance of talent and the coaches are doing a very good job with the talent handed to them.  In a few years CS may very well be on the serious end of some ass kickings and some of the CS fans need to remember that.
 18.
my mom said 34-14 liberty was the last she heard...but that doesn't even fit with the other score so who knows...she does multiple things while listening
Why doesn't it fit?  The last Liberty score posted was 28.  That would be one touchdown.
 19.
Cleveland might of had two. Huffman just dominated on both sides of the ball. Cleveland couldn't do anything on offence and couldn't stop anything on D.
Awww.  That's too bad.  Good game Huffman!  We'll see y'all next week.  I can't wait!  This should be an awesome game for both sides. Thanks, by the way.
 20.
Good call, the game is in Huffman.. im glad.  Coldspring has a great traveling fanbase and that turf can never hurt their TEAM SPEED
Yes we do!  CS tends to fill up most stadiums. I'm glad it's in Huffman too.  I really like that stadium plus it's nice to have a decent drive home to talk about the CS win. 8) ;D
 21.
I think the game is in Huffman.
My mistake.  I looked at my schedule wrong.
 22. CS also has home field advantage on this game and with the CS fan base that could be a big factor.
 23. I used to be totally against it until about 2 weeks ago when I was having a conversation with someone who pointed out that when the teams pull back you are stopping some kids from possibly getting some very important stats on their record. Now, I'm not sure how I feel about it.
