The Cleveland Liberty game will be a good one to watch.. I think it is 2 weeks away... Roll Tribe.
The way I saw that game last night was;  This was the first time CS's Defense was allowed to SHINE!  What a defense CS has too!!  Wow.  If it hadn't been as strong as it was the Indians would've had points on the board.  I still don't think they would have won but it definitely wouldn't have been a shut out. CS drops the ball and Cleveland recovers on CS's 30 on the kick off and the only thing between them and that goal line was a very, very strong defense. Jnunn said Barbay said CS's defense was our strong point and last night that was the game I saw.

Coldspring fumbled the opening kickoff and had a roughing the kicker penalty, thats the only reason coldspring didnt have more in the 1st quarter.. and they did score 29 unawnsered in the second.. 37 to 0 is really not a good first half.. coldspring had something over 200 yards and less than 20 carries as a team.. i wish the best to cleveland but i didnt see that game close at all but that my be my opinion..
Yeah, I was at the same game.  CS played sloppy in the first half and Cleveland was dug in.  I'm not saying that CS didn't eventually run off with it but it wasn't the walk in the park they've been having.  (the soft field didn't help Sherman and Colton either) I didn't see the second string on the field in the first half .... did you?  Both of those teams played a hard game last night.  CS won and won big but it was a game CS has been needing all year long.  I think that's why CS had the mistakes and penalties they had on them. Oh, and I'm a Trojan fan, not an Indian fan.
 3.
The first half was reall a great game and I really thought we was going to have a solid game.. The score doesnt show overall how the game went.. Clevelands linebackers played great.. Good luck to both teams down the strech.. I think its going to be a great game between Cleveland and liberty and think Cleveland could come out on top if Maples puts the right qb in and will dig deep into the play book.
I thought the first half of the game was outstanding.  Cleveland did a great job of holding CS.  That is the first time this year I've seen the score so low at the end of the first quarter. You're right, the score doesn't show how the overall game was played.  There was a lot of heart on both sides of the field last night. Congratulations to both teams.  Liberty could be in for a fight.
 4.
That's ok abninf. Some who vote are ignorant also.
Heh.  Looks like it.  I think CS should have had 25 votes for #1! :o 8) KC
 5.
That number represents how many first place votes a team receives.
So 1 person voted for Coldspring to be #1? Thanks!  I've never really sat down and read these rankings so I'm truly ignorant of how they work.
 6. Forgive my ignorance but; 4. Coldspring-Oakhurst (1) (7-0)      184      4           What does this  ^  number mean? Thanks.
 7. Coldspring is a little harder to contain this year.  Last year if you shut down the running game you could contain them.  This year a passing game is emerging.  If the receivers would quit slowing down they would make more receptions.  Alfred is putting the ball where they are going to be and they need to trust him.
 8. I was glad they let the clock run the whole second half.  The Wildcats were doing a great job defensively at the outset ... I don't know what happened after the first 5 or 6 minutes but the dynamic of the game changed after that.
 9.
Nope, not I.
Just curious.  I'm up in most of the media booths at the half and was curious. Thanks.
 10.
More of the same from Coldspring.
WOSgrad, do you go to all the Coldspring games?  Are you the one broadcasting?
 11.
Being an outsider looking in, imo Coldspring wins this one.Huffman will give them a better game than anyone they've played.Coldspring has had a pretty cushy schedule.Coldspring will win the district and Huffman should come in second.
Huffman gave us a good run for our money last year and I would expect no less this year.  I still think Coldspring will take it but I ain't seeing no blow out.
 12. Coldspring v. Tarkington. We go for the band but love the football too.
 13. A Tarkington fan who has not heard the Jaws theme music played at least 15 times! 8)
 14.
Real train horns. Mart would blow the things WAAAAAYYY to much, like on 1st downs and such.  Not sure, but I think the UIL is finally starting to address the issue.
Yeah, those things get annoying if they play them too much.  CS has one and while I don't mind it on the touchdowns it gets on my nerves when it is played too much and too long.
 15.
Losen up, man.  Those are no cadets.  They are football players.  Everyone gets excited on the breakdown part of the national anthem.  Some people clap, some people sing louder.  They slap shoulder pads.
No need to loosen up, it is simply an observation and an opinion.  I feel it is disrespectful and you don't.  No skin off my nose.
 16.
They are showing respect.  The players begin slapping shoulder pads after the 'o' the land of the free!' part.  That's the equivalant of an exciting hand clap, which you would get anywhere else the National anthem is sung or played.  I find nothing wrong with that.  The are still standing there with their helmets off and faced toward the flag.
Let them tell that to the Drill Sergeant when they get to basic training.  I'm sure it will go over just fine.
 17.
Bands that play....when their team is on OFFENSE.
The Coldspring band would never get to play. 8) The only real gripe I have at the football games is the lack of respect some of the teams seem to show when the national anthem is being played.  This is not the time to be making noise by hammering on the shoulder pads of the guy in front of you.  It is a time to show your respect for your country and those who have fought and died for your freedoms.  Your hand goes over your heart .... not on the shoulder pads of those in front or beside you.
