was anybody at this game to give a summary?

Uh, Nederland scored 57 points in 4 quarters of play to out score LCM by 8, who scored 49.

Thanks for clearing up the confusion...man, you ought to be a sports reporter!

Let's not get carried away.  Nederland has had very good basketball teams in the past.  Maybe not in the last 10 years before Coach English but through the years I can guarantee you that Nederland has been 3-0 in district before this season.  Not sure but possibly during Coach English's senior year at Nederland.

Having made that point, I think Coach English is the best thing to happen to Bulldog basketball in the last 20 years or so.  He not only has built a good program but he's generated interest in Bulldog basketball and that is not an easy thing to do.

First half was pretty even. Nederland had quite a few turnovers and couldn't find their shot. LC-M seemed to play tough in the first half and kept themselves in the game up until half time. I believe LC-M had the lead most of the first half, but Nederland had it going into halftime. In the second half, the dogs came out very strong and had many good possessions in the paint as well as behind the arc (hopefully they are finding their shot now). Nederland was leading by at least 20 with 2 minutes to go before Nederland took out the starters. The game ended with Nederland turning the ball over for 2 minutes and letting LC-M score 12 points or so to make it an 8 point game in the end.

he made a pretty big one against png...forney was overpowering inside against lcm and Kelvin Smith played huge when he came in as well...Dogs had a huge third period to make what was a close game at the half into not much of a contest...as mentioned before, Nederland was up about 20 with 2 minutes left when the starters were pulled...Dogs have Central on Tuesday which should be a real good one.

    • I will never understand why someone cares what decisions a family makes regarding their own child? Maybe Joe Burrow learns great life lessons from burning up all his eligibility sitting behind Justin Fields at Ohio State but I’m sure him and his family feel like they made the right decision by transferring to LSU, becoming the #1 pick and now being the highest paid QB in NFL history. Same for Kyler Murray, Baker Mayfield and Jalen Hurts at their first stops.    I think it was more beneficial for Reggie Branch to transfer to Crosby and end up having an opportunity to play for a state title versus staying at GCM and learning life lessons while he loses and probably doesn’t go D1 because his team is a perennial loser. If Robinson throws for 2k yards this year it’s going to be a lot better for his recruitment purposes than sitting on the bench at BH, not to mention he’s going to get significant looks because of the kids he’s on the team with and the offers/commitments they’ve already made. He’s not being taught to run from competition, he’s being taught to gamble on himself just like all those other guys I mentioned did.
    • You have found Utopia. I live in the real world.
    • Every Yuppie wants one.  Give me a V-8 with loud pipes, and they can have their electric vehicles.  Was working a major incident one day and we had a road blocked off.  Police vehicles with lights going and a kid pulls up in a Tesla.  He - let me stress that HE is sobbing uncontrollably because he is at 5% battery life and HAS to go down the road we have blocked to get to a charging station.  He pulled over and literally threw a temper tantrum because we would not let him through.
    • Have you noticed that it's always the libs that bring up race?  For a long time now whenever a lib is losing an argument or have nothing else to say they bring up racism.  Or something silly like institutional racism.  LOL!
    • Ha!  Whatever that means!
