Hardin Head Coach one of the worst examples of sportsmanship I’ve ever seen. Inside kicking it in the 2nd half. Starters in in the 4th. Throwing the ball with 2 mins left in the 4th. This against a team that suited up 20 kids.

My theory is that Coach Taylor was trying to work on some areas that could possibly benefit them in the playoffs but wanted the live game scenario.

Disagree strongly. He had all night to do it. Do it in the first half against kids who haven’t played both ways all night against a superior opponent. The game was never in doubt. He put his starters back in up 50 when Warren was on the goal line trying to score. You want to throw the ball with your backup QB don’t do it with 2 minutes on the game clock. His team may be full of winners but they didn’t learn sportsmanship from him last night.

I would have agreed with your statement above if I didn’t know the actual truth behind it. Hardin and Warren coaches both Agreed at halftime that Warren would kick the ball of to Hardin and the clock would run the rest of the half. Warrens coach got cute and decided to onside kick the ball. (All Bets off after that) Run it up if you don’t want to do what you agreed to do. Those reception with 2 minutes to go where JV kids so they got some playing time and some Varsity experience!

So you’re saying his ego got hurt and he took it out on the kids? The JV kids could have played earlier. No need to keep starters into the 4th. The starting QB scored a TD with 3 mins to go. Some people can’t be convinced.

We're talking about 57-0 , not 85-0.  JV kids got some playing time and the backup qb (freshman to the junior qb, got to throw his brother a td pass.  Sounds like what needs to happen is warren needs to improve or cancel their football program.   Did yall have the same sentiment toward newton who hung 70 on you guys two weeks prior?  did they run it up, or did they play jv/fresh and get plenty of experience to make their program better for years to come? idk sounds like sour grapes to me.

was it not 35-0 at half ?  22 points scored in the entire second half is hardly running things up.

I've always said regardless of the two teams, throwing the ball up 50+ with 2 minutes left in the game is a bit much.

Did newton run it up on woodville, or did they play the 8th grade in the second half with a running clock against the 4th seed ?   Apparantly, you're supposed to put the cheerleaders in once you're up 50 in the 4th, on a running clock.   What you never do, is do what kountze and silsbee do on the basketball court to teams up 60 in the 4th and stay in the diamond.  That surely never happens!  Like.... Ever.

Silsbee doesn't run the diamond nor do they full court press up 60. Can't speak for Kountze.
