spidersal Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Nice win Bulldogs. The defense played really good tonight and a couple of nice running backs. The receivers are catching the ball much better this season negatives - kicker and punter had bad nights. Still too many penalties and the Bulldogs still have too many players running their mouth next week may possibly be for district championship. The Dogs will have too throw the ball better than tonight Quote
navydawg31 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago Great Job Big Ned pretty big to give up 0 points in a district game… total of 13 points in 3 district games is a great salty D! Defense on giving up an average of 4.3 points per district game, 3-0 in district nuff said. Go Dogs! Quote

navydawg31 Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago I think with that win tonight should clinch a playoff birth for Nederland… tbh I think all playoff teams are set now just still working on the order but playoff teams clinched are… Nederland, PNG, Texas City and Dayton. Maybe someone can correct me if I’m wrong on it.. Quote
spidersal Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago You are correct, just hope Nederland and PNG finish 1st and 2nd. Nederland’s place will depend on how they do against Dayton and Texas City PNG will finish either 6-0 or 5-1 1st or 2nd Nederland? GP - 0-6 Lee and Santa Fe, 1 will be 1-5 and the other 2-4 Quote
Bulldogpower Posted 17 hours ago Report Posted 17 hours ago I miss the days of the old 4A, I feel like you earned it back then. Not saying they aren't now but Vidor, central, PNG games were always contests. The district with FB Marshall, Lake Creek was tough, but it never felt like a "home" district from the 409. navydawg31 and 1970 2 Quote

Those were fun days… I miss when there was 2 4A districts in SETX… now mid county schools and Dayton are on an island over here grouped with the Houston schools. Quote

Believe it or not no there's a slim chance Lee could get in if they beat Santa Fe PN-G and Texas City the odds of that happening though is close to 0 Quote
A BUC 77 Posted 16 hours ago Report Posted 16 hours ago Congratulations Dogs. You guys have announced your authority. Coach Spell is sitting up in the stands with a big smile on his face. It’s been a long road and now you’re back. Quote

From 88-03 district 20-4A was a beast for golden triangle teams. We had some serious games back then navydawg31 1 Quote
Eagle91 Posted 9 hours ago Report Posted 9 hours ago I’m not certain on how good Nederland or PNG is, this may be one of the worst districts they have been in. These teams have been bad! Next week will be the only hard game they have in district play. Good luck and hopefully injury free to both teams. Quote

Neither are in the top 10 IMO, but they are both improved in the last few weeks, especially PNG's o-line last night as compared to last Fri vs TC. Next Friday should be a very good game for the district championship. Quote
outanup Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago The district as a whole is down IMO......Hard to say how good Ned actually is . With all due respect , I don't see a big push from this district in the playoffs. Quote
