What happened here? I haven’t seen Madisonville play but I know they lost to Sealy last week and I’ve seen Sealy and they didn’t look good at all

Shepherd is not used to play teams that are on or above their level just yet.  I figured Madisonville would have won this one but not in a blowout.

Wow! Shepherds offense looked a little suspect, was wondering when it would catch up. Didn’t think it would be this early.

Shepherd was okay last year and somehow got hyped up because they beat five 3A squads, Tarkington, and jasper. Then they lost a lot of key players. They’ve played awful teams this year to start 3-0, and I guess an 0-3 Madisonville was all it took to expose them.

Although these things are still true as you stated I still have them going in 4th in district.

Their coach definitely schedules to their favor, credit to him. Especially when you start the year 0-3 in the Distict of Doom.

I don’t blame him at all. It’s just weird how everyone got sucked in last year and it somehow carried over to this year despite them not beating even a single decent 4A squad during that time frame.

Had the same thoughts, they have some good pieces and most likely will finish 4th but I didn’t fully buy in.

Yes, Huffman and Madisonville are normally bottom feeders who never win. Shepherd is currently decimated with injuries.
