A little surprised with this one, not necessarily with the outcome but with the score difference! Will Shepard compete with the Silsbee and HF for second or third in district? Or do they battle it out with HJ and Jasper for the fourth place spot?

i wouldn’t sleep on them for sure. Think they take 4th easy. Maybe 3rd if they can sneak an upset

The final score was 42-27. It was actually 34-27 with 2 minutes left in the game and all Huffman needed was a stop to get the ball back but couldn't get it. Huffman is atrocious on defense and special teams. You can't gauge Shepherd by this game because they probably won't play another team this bad defensively all year. 

Huffman gave away at least 3 offensive possessions on special teams (1 onside kick, 1 fake punt, and another mental mistake where a kid just watched the ball lay on the 10 yard line on kickoff return rather than falling on it. Just terrible coaching on special teams. They looked completely unprepared. 

Offensively they are explosive, but it doesn't matter if you can't get the ball or keep people under 40.

They play Tarkington next week, were liable to make Huffman look not as bad lol. We can’t stop the run. Our D settle in late in the game and made some good stops but the damage was done.

Take away the stupid penalties and costly turnovers and that game last night is much different.

But not gonna pretend like Shepherd isn’t going to beat us next Friday lol.
