La Vega @ Franklin Friday 7:30pm

La Vega will travel to open the season at Franklin this season to start Friday night lights.

La Vega brings back a good number of players from last year's team. They bring back 8/9 and come in ranked #3 in 4ad2.

Franklin graduated 35 seniors and will be pretty young coming into the season. Franklin brings back 5-5 and comes in ranked #4 in 3ad1.

La Vega is travel for the first 8 games this season due to stadium renovations.

I believe this is the first time these two schools have played each other.

Pulling for Franklin but La Vega might be a bit too much.

For a young team they're starting off playing LV and Newton

They also are playing #10 Waco Robinson the following game after Newton. Tough schedule to the them ready for district play.

35 seniors for a 3A team is crazy! 👀 Good for Franklin having those type of numbers. I believe Newton only has 11 seniors on this years team, which is normal for them year after year. Not many kids to choose from. Good luck to you guys this week.

Franklin averages around 100 kids year to year in the program. Freshman, JV, and Varsity have about 30-35 kids each. Our senior class is smaller this year then they have been.
