In some cases you can say the coaches were ignorant. This one feels criminal.  300-400 push-ups per athletic period for three days straight without breaks or water. 20 of the 80 kids subjected to this hospitalized with rhabdomyolysis. Some folks will still defend it.

Some coaches fail exercise physiology even after they have graduated.

The Boomers defend this by saying back in their day they got heat stroke, rhabdo and permanent injuries like real men.
