I guess you and the rest of us have a different definition of being kicked in the gonads.  We've decimated just about everything they have.  The only real question remains:  Will they give up all of their uranium or or we gonna have to go take it.

I think Trump is having a hard time finding an exit ramp on this war. I personally think BiBi gave him some not so accurate intel.

and you could be right, I just have a hard time, convincing myself all of these situations were not thought of in advance. I don’t believe for a minute Iran taking over the strait was any type of surprise. We shall see tho

They are not giving up their leverage which is the Strait of Hormuz without a fight. I don’t see how Trump gets them to comply without putting boots on the ground and that will not be good.

Just trying to insert a little humor into a very fragile subject, of which none of us have answers. When we are dealing with people who denounce Trump for starting the war, and the same people denounce him for stopping it, it doesn’t leave much room for discussion.

Far be it from me to say exactly what's going on. I will say that Navy Divers are the experts in underwater EOD, and have been known to exit flooded tubes to perform mine clearing duties. Yes. It's one of the most dangerous jobs in any Branch of the Service. That's why ND's receive hazardous duty pay from Day 1 after A school.

One day, you may be exiting a sub in an unconventional manner. One day, you may jump from a perfectly good helo. One day, you may be at 300 feet below, and the next, you may be clearing a landing zone with a rebreather. You have to be qualified on every type of dive equipment from bare, to a snorkel and fins, to rebreathers, to scuba, to Mark 16's (or whatever they are on nowadays), and gas mixtures. In addition, small arms quals are very rigorous.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least if some investigative/clearing type activity wasn't taking place right under everyone's collective noses right now.

Now ask the obvious question. Since when does a pilot rescue need a runway? Since when do you send that much firepower to pull out two men? Since when do you reportedly embed nuclear specialists in a rescue team? There were 150+ special operators involved. Let us be serious. You do not need 150 operators for two pilots. That force size fits only one thing. A retrieval. For nearly 50 hours, Iran and America fought. 339 munitions fired. Roads were bombed. Convoys. Helicopters. Aircraft. C-130s. And somewhere in that smoke. In that sand. In that mountain shadow... Something changed. Not the pilots. Something heavier. Something more valuable. You know what it was? Not all. But enough. Enough to change the negotiation. Enough to turn “fight till death” into “let’s talk ceasefire.” Read that again. A nation that swore it would bleed forever... Suddenly chose the table. Why?
