thetragichippy Posted May 4 Report Posted May 4 7 minutes ago, baddog said: What else you gonna do? He can voice his concern. New Caney is like going to the lake. Anywhere in that area gas is aways 30-50 cents higher, sometimes more depending where you go. They know if you drive there you need gas to get back to where ever you came from. I fill up my boat & truck in Fairmount at the big store - non-ethanol only - when gas is around $2 gallon here, it's around $4 there. I can only imagine what it is there right now. Quote

Where did you pay $4.57 for regular unleaded in SE Texas...... They seen you coming...... I have not paid anywhere near that.......I believe I paid $3.57 at Wal-Mart last fill up. But the FACT REMAINS that gas peaked at $5 per gallon under Biden in June of 2022. Quote

However, Biden did tap into the reserves to bring down prices. Trump blockaded the blockade if that makes a lot of sense. Now voters see him for what he is, a liar in Chief. Are we in a war? Is the economy better? Do we have affordable health care? News flash, Biden is not the President so please answer responsibly. 😆 please no BDS!!! Quote

OlDawg Posted May 5 Report Posted May 5 I paid $3.39/gal at Kroger La Porte day before yesterday. Of course, I had gas points worth .30/gal. It's still $3.69 today. Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted May 5 Report Posted May 5 Paid $3.59 today which is a dollar higher than it was 2 months ago but still not $4.57. I am helping the economy by making a trip to casino each week and eat at one of Ferttita's eating establishments. OlDawg, baddog and thetragichippy 3 Quote

Wait, I thought they were making insane profits because of the high oil prices?! Like — what’s the deal?! The crack spread doesn't account for all of the products a refinery produces. Basically, they're losing money on all products except gasoline & diesel. Reagan and baddog 2 Quote

My aunt was let go from a bank in Charlotte. The bank did away with her department after working there for 25 years. I have a cousing that was recently let go from Verizon in Dallas Tx after 20 years. A.I is also a factor. Quote

We are an added expense and they keep paying us, and the venue’s are packed. baddog 1 Quote

We probably average 8-10 a show. The problem when you play 6 -8 times a month, it's really not an event anymore. If you can see us anytime, people won't come every time we play. Our contribution to the venue is keeping people there longer eating and drinking and tipping their servers. Quote
