New Caney is like going to the lake.   Anywhere in that area gas is aways 30-50 cents higher, sometimes more depending where you go. They know if you drive there you need gas to get back to where ever you came from.  I fill up my boat & truck in Fairmount at the big store - non-ethanol only - when gas is around $2 gallon here, it's around $4 there.  I can only imagine what it is there right now.

I have not paid anywhere near that.......I believe I paid $3.57 at Wal-Mart last fill up. 

But the FACT REMAINS that gas peaked at $5 per gallon under Biden in June of 2022.

That's not what you said.  However, Biden did tap into the reserves to bring down prices. Trump blockaded the blockade if that makes a lot of sense. Now voters see him for what he is, a liar in Chief. Are we in a war?  Is the economy better? I paid $3.39/gal at Kroger La Porte day before yesterday. Of course, I had gas points worth .30/gal. It's still $3.69 today.

Paid $3.59 today which is a dollar higher than it was 2 months ago but still not $4.57.

I am helping the economy by making a trip to casino each week and eat at one of Ferttita's eating establishments.

The crack spread doesn't account for all of the products a refinery produces. Basically, they're losing money on all products except gasoline & diesel.

Not here, people are being laid off.  Some businesses have closed. My aunt was let go from a bank in Charlotte.  The bank did away with her department after working there for 25 years.  I have a cousing that was recently let go from Verizon in Dallas Tx after 20 years.  A.I is also a factor.

Reagan is right about restaurants….I’ve been doing 6-8 gigs a month at local restaurants/bars with my singer from my band and it has not let up. We are an added expense and they keep paying us, and the venue’s are packed.

Well, we do bring a few people. We probably average 8-10 a show. The problem when you play 6 -8 times a month, it's really not an event anymore. If you can see us anytime, people won't come every time we play. Our contribution to the venue is keeping people there longer eating and drinking and tipping their servers.
