spidersal Posted Saturday at 03:58 AM Report Posted Saturday at 03:58 AM Baddog glad to see Javier finally have a good game. I know it is rare for him to pitch good but glad he did Quote
baddog Posted Saturday at 03:45 PM Author Report Posted Saturday at 03:45 PM He had Tommy-John surgery and he was our star pitcher during a WS championship. He’s like any pitcher and could use some run support., but when he pitches like this, it makes the wins much easier. rupert3 1 Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted Sunday at 02:34 AM Report Posted Sunday at 02:34 AM Bad loss tonight, but maintain a 3 game lead. baddog 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted Sunday at 02:53 AM Report Posted Sunday at 02:53 AM Very tough loss but wake up tomorrow maybe. Altuve and Alvarez in big slump. Alvarez still hitting just not dingers. I liked it when they walked him to get to Paredes. That didn't work and that is when I thought we had it. Actually we 4 up because we hold the tiebreaker. If you want to look at it that way. myrecordwashorrible and baddog 2 Quote
rupert3 Posted Sunday at 09:20 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:20 PM Not meant to be, 3-2 setback just no hitting today except Alcarez Number 38 dinger. I think but not sure that Altuve got his 2500th hit. I'm sure I'll be corrected. Pitching by Lambert improved after their first 2 runs Arlington ahead 7-6 top of 8 Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted Sunday at 09:31 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:31 PM Altuve entered today 4 hits shy of 2500 and picked up 3. Will likely get it on the upcoming road trip. Up and down season to say the least. Was hoping for a solid 4 game lead after the eeekend and now likely will be a 2 game lead. rupert3 1 Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted Sunday at 09:34 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:34 PM Sorry repost. I deleted the info but don't know how to delete post entirely. Quote

spidersal Posted Sunday at 09:56 PM Report Posted Sunday at 09:56 PM It is certainly an up and down season. For some reason when they pitch good, they don’t hit and when they hit, they struggle on the mound. They are having a hard time putting it all together Luckily they are probably in the weakest division in the major leagues Quote
rupert3 Posted Tuesday at 05:48 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 05:48 PM Well it's crunch time, Of course I will be pulling for the Stros but I will also pull for the Mariners to a point. However we need to take care of business and win for ourselves. Next 3 days could be reall interesting. So go Stros Quote
AggiesAreWe Posted yesterday at 01:40 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:40 AM 6-5 win over Philly. Hadar hung on for that save. myrecordwashorrible and rupert3 2 Quote
myrecordwashorrible Posted yesterday at 01:41 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:41 AM Winner! Anyone else get even more worried when it was reported the Schwarber was 0 for 15 lifetime against Hader? rupert3 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted yesterday at 01:45 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:45 AM What a scary win Bullpen made it soooo interestin/scary 3 dingers Wesneski 5-1 Hader 24/24 saves. Altuve still waiting for 2500 Maybe tomorrow Quote
spidersal Posted yesterday at 01:46 AM Report Posted yesterday at 01:46 AM Blubaugh is usually effective, not tonight. Hung on for the much needed win. Looked like a Bridge City man pitched some in relief for the Phillies myrecordwashorrible 1 Quote
A BUC 77 Posted yesterday at 05:02 PM Report Posted yesterday at 05:02 PM Yeah Blubaugh has been great lately. So I can’t be too mad. This is a great Phillies team though. Peña’s great play and Marshes base running era may have saved the game. Hader finally gave up a run but the Stros hung on. Yordan needs to get rolling. I like how the Astros get up when they play good teams. rupert3 and baddog 2 Quote
spidersal Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago I thought they sent King to AAA. What is he doing back up and why are they pitching him. He didn’t even record an out and Blubaugh’s 2nd bad night in a row. Quote
rupert3 Posted 19 hours ago Report Posted 19 hours ago We lose by a Grand slam. King's fault and others. 11-7. Rangers lose Altuve with his 2500th career hit. Awesome. A littlr bit of comedy and errors. Bump in the road. At least we were hitting. Quote

Taking 2 of 3 on the road from a very good Philly team is impressive. Good quality start for Javier. 6 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 5 K, 1 BB Sousa, Abreu and Hader combine for a perfect final 3 innings (no batter reached base) with 4 K's. The three combined threw 32 pitches total and 26 of them were strikes. Pretty efficient. Hader now 25 for 25 in saves. myrecordwashorrible 1 Quote
rupert3 Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Cam Smith 3 game 3 dingers. Doesn't get amy easier. Need every series we have left. Quote
